What's that rumble? Oh, it's Bumble! This playful boy loves to chase his ball around and be a wild cat. A rough and rowdy player, Bumble would do well with the company of another young and playful cat (for him to stalk and surprise!) or oppositely, an old, relaxed cat who won't mind his antics. Two years old and full of beans, he can't be picked up, needs his own space and will tell you, "No thank you" but far less politely. However, if you want to drag a string or feather around or throw his ball than he'll happily spend all day with you. Bumble is neutered and current on all shots, ready for his new home. If you've got room in your heart for an energetic wild-man who plays by his own rules and requires you follow them too, then take a chance on Bumble and make your appointment to meet him today. He is not the biggest fan of other cats, and does not like dogs, but he loves the attention he gets from people. Bumble is a 2-year-old neutered male For more information on Bumble, call AWS at 860-354-1350 email animalwelfare.socty@snet.net or visit our website aws-shelter.org for an application Adoption Fees for Senior cats (8yrs and up) is $50 Adult Cats $200 and Kittens under a year $250.

Daisy is a quiet girl who would love a place to call her own. She loves to play and has lots of energy when its playtime but she will settle nicely. She is a shy girl and will need a person who understands that she will need time to get comfortable with people. A quiet home is best for her.

Duncan is a friendly guy but will need time to adjust to a new home and family. He loves to play and explore, and in time will be an affectionate loving boy. With proper introduction he will get along with other cats that match his energy level.

Meet Kuzya! The Sweet, Curious Companion You’ve Been Looking For Kuzya is a handsome, 2-year-old neutered male tabby born in July 2024. He is a truly wonderful companion—incredibly curious, playful, and affectionate once he gets to know you. If you are looking for a loyal buddy to follow you around the house and keep you company, Kuzya is your guy! He loves playing with his toys and is perfectly content being a fully indoor cat. Ideal Home: Although Kuzya has no prior experience living with other animals or small children, he is open to households with kids or other cats, provided they can give him a patient and supportive environment to adjust. He is fully litter-box trained, healthy, and completely up-to-date on all of his vaccines. Why is he available for adoption: Over the last two years, two of our family members developed severe allergies. We have truly tried absolutely everything to make it work, but unfortunately, we have to find him a new home for health reasons.

Meet Gemma, a one-year-old tabby with the most gorgeous markings and absolutely stunning golden eyes. She came to us with her five babies — Pebbles, Opal, Flint, Mica, and Slate — after their little family was found living in a quarry in Waterbury. Now that her babies are nearly all adopted, it’s time for this beautiful mama to have her chance, too. While Gemma is understandably very shy and cautious around people, she thankfully isn’t feral. Because of this, we believe there’s a good chance she once belonged to someone and may have been dumped at the quarry, left to fend for herself and eventually raise her babies there. Despite everything she’s been through, we see so much potential in this beautiful girl. Gemma may not be the kitty who immediately runs up asking for pets or curls into your lap on day one — but that doesn’t mean she won’t get there. She simply needs someone willing to give her what she hasn’t had enough of: patience, time, consistency, and love. With the right family who will allow her to adjust at her own pace and celebrate the little victories along the way, we truly believe Gemma can continue learning to trust and blossom into the loving house cat she deserves to be. Sometimes the animals who make you work a little harder for their trust end up making the journey that much more special. Her adoption fee is $225, and Gemma is vaccinated, FIV/FELV negative, microchipped, and spayed.
