If there’s another cat around, chances are Barley is right there, ready to play, nap, or curl up together. He’s great with dogs, kids, and other cats, making him the kind of easygoing companion who fits right into just about any home. Barley has a gentle, affectionate personality and loves being part of the action, whether that means a cozy couch cuddle or a playful romp with his cat buddies. Story
I was named after a comic superheroine princess who is outgoing with a bubbly personality. That is me! When I was at the shelter, I made sure everyone got to know me. I love to eat wet food, play with toys and other kitties, and climb cat trees to look out the window. If you are looking for a love bug who has lots of energy and love to give, I hope you will consider me! ***PLEASE NOTE*** Are you interested in adopting this cat or another JCAPL pet you have seen? Kevin is the curious kitty! What's in the fridge mom? Can I eat that? Mmmm I like that, I don't want to share it, noooo, ohhh ok if I must. What's this toy? Let's play with it. The way to make friends with Kevin is with a string toy and some cottage cheese! Kevin loves to play with other kittens and cats. He also likes to play with toy balls and mice. He cuddles with his brother and other foster kittens--he's definitely a great buddy for a cat that needs a bestie. He's litter trained; and we estimate born about 4/26/25. ***PLEASE NOTE*** Are you interested in adopting this or another JCAPL pet you have seen? I am a big girl but please don’t pass me by because of my size. I am one who will talk to you, listen to you, and sit on the sofa next to you. But please do not try to pick me up. Yup, because of my size, I am not much into being held. I do still have a crazy bit of kitten in me and play like I am tiny. Yes, I do make a bit of noise when I do this. Never said I am graceful... A spot in the sunshine or a window to sit in makes my afternoon a good one. And as you can tell, I enjoy an afternoon snack. What snacks do you have in your pantry? ***PLEASE NOTE*** Are you interested in adopting this cat or another JCAPL pet you have seen? Story
Tab (Originally Tabitha until gender was confirmed) is a very handsome Tabby. He is sweet, lovable, energetic, acrobatic, and playful. When you pick him up to love him, you will get a lot of lovable rubs and kisses in return. He also likes to lay on his back for belly rubs and lay in the sun. He loves all toys, but balls may be his favorite. ***PLEASE NOTE*** Are you interested in adopting this or another JCAPL pet you have seen? This is a wonderful cat, she’s so sweet but unfortunately she doesn’t get along with my other cats because they’re a little too hyperactive for her. She can get along well with other cats but needs a calm and quiet household to be truly happy.

Scooby is such a sweet boy and I’d love to keep him if I could, unfortunately I have far too many cats and I want them to have a higher quality of life. Scooby gets along well with other cats but he is a little skittish and will likely be nervous at first.

Story
Midnight is about two years old. He was born under our ramp but abandoned, along with a brother. He gets along wonderfully with our two pit bull mixes and our youngest cat, but keeps attacking his littermate. They used to get along wonderfully, but we don't know what changed and have to watch him constantly. Midnight loves Churu cat treats. Actually he loves all cat treats. And he would love to help us finish our food, but hasn't been able to get that close to our plates. Yet. Midnight is able to open our lever style doorknob, but hasn't yet mastered closing the door behind him. Especially the front door. He is up to date on all his vaccines. He is an indoor cat who likes to lay out on our screened in front porch. Midnight is not fond of strange vehicles or people. We would really prefer to keep Midnight, but its not fair to him or his litter mate if they're gonna keep fighting. Actually, Blaze doesn't fight. He hisses and runs to his safe spot.
