Story
This petite girl is one of a kind. She was outside and unwell until she found a kind stranger to help her (DOB ~6/1/25). He got her well and brought her to JCAPL. He knew she would go to a loving furever home. Rosie has 4 foster brothers and keeps up with them, often starting the shenanigans (you can see a large dog claw in her resting photos). Nothing stops her from romping and playing. She also races them to food and digs right in. The dogs in the house don't scare her in the least. She just lets them be dogs. And she doesn't forget her humans. When she's ready to snuggle, she'll jump on your lap, make some biscuits, and then nap with you. She also sits and watches TV. Some nights she'll sleep right next to you. Watch your heart, because she will steal it in an instant. She's a little girl with a huge spirit. ***PLEASE NOTE*** Are you interested in adopting this cat or another JCAPL pet you have seen? Story
Nala is a very timid cat and loves to play. She is not quite a year old yet. I am not home all the time. She has had some behavioral issues per the vet as we have taken her in and she had a few utis. She is on special food for calming and to assist with utis. She seems to pee on the bed every so often and unsure why she is doing that. Other than that she does great-I am unsure what is causing it. I am hoping maybe there is something she is missing with me that someone else is able to give her. Our living space is small not sure if she needs more space.

Story
Kevin is the curious kitty! What's in the fridge mom? Can I eat that? Mmmm I like that, I don't want to share it, noooo, ohhh ok if I must. What's this toy? Let's play with it. The way to make friends with Kevin is with a string toy and some cottage cheese! Kevin loves to play with other kittens and cats. He also likes to play with toy balls and mice. He cuddles with his brother and other foster kittens--he's definitely a great buddy for a cat that needs a bestie. He's litter trained; and we estimate born about 4/26/25. ***PLEASE NOTE*** Are you interested in adopting this cat or another JCAPL pet you have seen? Story
Rory is mama's gentle kitty. This sweet boy has an old soul. He loves to play with his fosters and kitty toys, and he joins the older cats looking out the window. He also takes his long snoozes with the big cats on mama's bed. When mom comes into the bedroom and spies how cute he is, Rory is happy to get some loving. He purrs while his head is being scratched and walks back and forth looking for lovies. While Rory loves to eat, he's the last one to chow down. He waits for the other cats to dig in and then eats his food. If you are looking for a gentle little guy to share your home with, Rory is the bestest little boy! ***PLEASE NOTE*** Are you interested in adopting this cat or another JCAPL pet you have seen? Story
I’ve had Boots for most of his life, nearly 6 years. I adopted him from a shelter when he was 9 months old after he “lost a fight with a bird” resulting in him losing an eye. He is very loyal, friendly and curious. I love him to death but unfortunately cannot continue to support his needs. I tell people that he has IBS because without his prescription diet he tends to throw up or have diarrhea. His adoption will come with at least one unopened bag of food + his prescription. He does have arthritis in his spine with the occasional flair up impacting his mobility. Additionally, I’ve struggled on and off with him marking/urinating outside of the litter box over several years that might be resolved in an only cat household. I have LOTS of medical records to handover. The adoption fee is strictly to ensure he goes to a good home and is negotiable.

Sweet Clancy was brought in when he was just a new kitten and we’ve loved having him in the family! Unfortunately, my daughter has developed allergies and we cannot keep Clancy any longer for her health. He’s a little over 2 years old and house broken.

Story
I rescued Chloe from a home being sold; the owners had abandoned her, and I don't know how long she was there alone. Chloe is a tiny, sweet, and loving cat who craves attention and loves to be petted, but she can be skittish. She gets along well with dogs and possibly other cats, though my calico isn't a fan. She's quiet; even her meow is soft and sweet. She loves her space and making biscuits. She is ready for her forever home to live her life to the fullest!

Story
I adopted Malcolm and her sister (they are not pair bonded) in 2018 when she was one year old. She is now 8 years old. I had a baby in August 2025 and Malcolm has not adjusted well to this. Her behavior has added extra stress to our plate and our frustration has surely stressed out Malcolm. She needs a home with no dogs and no small children. Before the baby was born, Malcolm was very cuddly and generally calm.

Story
Archer is a 3 year old male cat that was abandoned in our neighborhood and we took him in about 2 months ago! SUPER friendly towards people-purrs and shows his belly to any stranger. We have taken him to the vet and other than previously being underweight, he is happy and healthy. We also got him his rabies shot. Archie is in need of a home where he is the ONLY pet so he can be his silly goofy self! Loves treats, soft surfaces, and snuggles. Is NOT a fan of other cats, but we are unsure if he gets along with dogs!
