Meet Rebel! Don’t let the name fool you — Rebel is a big softie at heart! This very large, handsome boy is as sweet and affectionate as they come. He absolutely adores being petted and will happily soak up all the love you’re willing to give. Rebel also has a playful side and enjoys engaging with toys and spending time with his people. Despite his size, he’s a gentle, loving companion who just wants attention and affection. Rebel does have special needs, though, because he is FIV positive. He can still live a very healthy, active life, and can be adopted as the only cat in the home or with other FIV-positive kitties. As long as all cats in the home get along well, he can even be adopted to a home with non-FIV cats. Managua, who we have always called Magill, is an older cat who is very energetic and affectionate. He loves to interact with people and has a great personality. Magill is one of four animals, a dog and three cats, who were the companions of my late sister. After a lifetime of working with kids going through difficult times and trying to help them, she took early retirement because of heath problems. In retirement, she lived with and loved her animal companions. When she passed on, we have worked to find good homes for all her animal companions. Magill is the last one who needs a home.

Xema is a year old cat, mostly black with a white marking on her chest. She is very friendly with humans, but would thrive in a household with no other pets. She is microchipped and up to date with shots, recently spayed so she has the area around there shaven. She weighs about 12lbs, so she is considered overweight by the vet. Unfortunately she does not get along with our other pets at all, and we want her to be happy alone.

Emily has made her way to one of our loving foster homes recently, and discovered her very unique personality. Emily is a cat that loves attention and she’s not afraid to let you know it. That said, she is, like most cats, picky about when she wants that attention. Emily is a talker. From the moment you greet her when you wake up, to the time you go to lie down in bed, she’ll respond to whatever you say to her. While she hasn’t completely adjusted to living with other cats that aren’t her kittens, she has shown growth and can coexist with another cat. Given enough time, she will be a great companion to another cat. She’s shown that she wants to play with our cats, she just isn’t sure how to do it — but she is learning! Emily is independent and enjoys the option of alone time. She comes out and interacts with us often, but she enjoys having her own space to rest. She would do best in a home without small children and a limited amount of cats, preferably one or none. We are not sure how she is with dogs. Emily is somewhat territorial of her foster parents and will let our other cats know her feelings. Within the past three weeks, she has gotten better with the other cats and has even attempted to play with one of them. All told, Emily is a great cat and would love to meet her forever home! Aaliyah and Eddie Vedder were saved from a life of having to grow up outside. They are some of the lucky ones! They are excellent at purring! And they love to play. Ball tracks and tunnels are just a couple of their favorite things to play with! They have mastered the game of play! Aaliyah and Eddie Vedder are testing positive for FIV at this time. Other kittens from their mother have tested positive as well and then later tested negative. Although we are still trying to spay their mother who is an unsocialized female, living her best life outside, we presume that she is probably FIV positive. Kittens can carry mom’s antibodies for quite a few months after they stop nursing. Even if they remain positive they can still live along healthy life. Feel free to ask us more!
