Pumpkin didn’t leave his home. His home left him. This sweet boy waited months outside a door… hoping someone would remember he belonged inside. Welcome to Purrfect Haven Cat Rescue and TNR, handsome sweet Pumpkin. 🧡 Last June, a woman moved into an apartment and soon noticed a cat lingering around her doorstep. She later learned that Pumpkin had once lived there with the previous tenants. When the couple broke up, Pumpkin’s mom couldn’t take him with her and the boyfriend simply didn’t care. When he moved out, Pumpkin was put outside and left behind. The woman who contacted us said that for months Pumpkin slept on her doorstep, trying to get inside whenever the door opened. She wished she could bring him in, but she couldn’t. Eventually Pumpkin stopped trying and made a “home” in a shed behind the apartment complex. Four walls and food left out for him, but no warmth, no soft bed, and no love. The frigid winter temperatures even left his ears with frostbite. Several rescues were contacted, but everyone was full — including us. Still, we knew we couldn’t turn a blind eye. Now Pumpkin is safe with Purrfect Haven Cat Rescue and TNR, and this sweet, handsome boy is finally getting the care he has waited so long for. This is the beginning of a new chapter for him. Now our job is simple — to bring the spark back into those eyes and find the family who will never leave him behind again. 🧡🐾

As we pulled up, the woman called out, “Mimi’s Baby, come here Mimi’s Baby!” — and from down the street came running a petite, beautiful tabby cat who leapt right onto the porch swing beside her. It was clear this was their special daily routine, and that this little cat’s heart was full of love to give. But Claire (as we now call her) was struggling — she had fur loss, flea dermatitis, and was drooling badly. We brought her into our rescue, and from day one, she has been the sweetest, most affectionate girl you could ever meet. She loves to jump into your lap, wrap her paws around your neck, and give the gentlest kitty hugs. Claire has since been fully vetted, had a full mouth extraction, and is now healthy, pain-free, and ready to find her forever family. She’s a beautiful soul who just wants to love and be loved in return. If you’re looking for a cat who will melt into your arms and fill your home with affection, Claire is your girl. 🩷

Meet Jack Frost  This handsome little guy is about 6½ months old and has already braved more than most kittens ever should. Jack started life outdoors, and thanks to a kind soul who made sure he was neutered (that little ear tip is his badge of honor!), he got his second chance at a warm, safe life. Jack can be a bit shy at first — new people and new places make him pause and assess the situation like the thoughtful gentleman he is. But give him a little patience and a soft voice, and you’ll see the real Jack come out. Once he warms up, he absolutely loves being held and will happily soak up your affection. He’s playful, curious, and has a great time chasing toys and romping around with the other kitties in his foster home. I adopted Bo from the shelter in 2023 and brought him home the next day. He has been nothing but an absolute lover and the most curious cat to this day. He loves to play and loves to chase his sister who was his litter mate. Both cats are great and have been so lovely. I am sad I’m having to put both up to be rehomed because of my new living situation. I would prefer someone who is capable and looking for two cats take them together because other than their trips to the vet they have not separated. New litter boxes, food, litter, automatic feeder and water bowl will be provided upon adoption.
