Story
We're looking for a loving home for our cat, Roman. As our family has grown, we've become less equipped to give him the attention he deserves. He is pretty chill these days, and has grown more affectionate as he's gotten older. He lived with a chihuahua for many years without issue, but did have a run in with my sister-in-law's hyper energetic scotty dog when she visited last year. I think he will settle in nicely with anyone once he gets used to them. He also lived with another cat for awhile and got along with her very well. He's always been very friendly with our toddler and teenager. You'll never forget to feed him because he will turn his bowl into a noisemaker until he gets his supper. He's a good cat, and he deserves a good, loving home.

Story
We got Chia from a local humane society about 3 years ago. I was working from home at the time and loved the idea of having a little buddy to keep me company. Chia was the perfect companion for that. She loves being around us and is not shy at all. She will greet you at the door when you get home; she will also greet any company you have. Like any other cat, we buy her toys, but of course she'd rather play with the random item on the floor. She absolutely loves her food and looking out the window. We welcomed our first child home, and Chia has never been violent towards our baby, but since most of our attention is now on our child, she is definitely struggling. I never wanted to give her up, but I think it is in her best interest to go to a home without children. I want what's best for her, and I think that is the best option for her.Chia hasn’t had any major health issues. I think she may have some environmental allergies. She’s been an indoor cat since we got her.Chia is about 4-5yrs

Story
Clover and his sister have had some rough luck, to say the least! At 7 years young, their family added a new family member with severe allergies, and suddenly these two sweeties lost the home they knew. Clover is more outgoing, and his sister Daisy watches to see if he says things are ok before she ventures out as well. They will do fine in separate homes, but if you're thinking of adopting a pair of kitties, these calm, sweet tabbies would make a fabulous duo! Included with the adoption is the kitty's spay/neuter, all current-due FVRCP, FeLeuk, and rabies vaccinations for kitties over 1-year, deworming, flea treatment, a wellness check, FIV/FeLV combo testing, and microchipping. In addition to being fully vetted, our cats and kittens are highly socialized. We offer a 2-week getting acquainted period and a 2-week wellness guarantee, so you can comfortably settle in with your new kitty! To apply to adopt, please complete an adoption inquiry at www.bluesmews.org so our adoption specialist volunteer can review it and contact you!

Story
Odie is a nervous guy. He's been with his foster mom for quite some time, and still isn't so sure about it when she walks over to him. There ARE a lot of foster siblings there, though... it's possible that with just the right balance of a quiet home and a very patient person, Odie may decide he wants a bit more human interaction (but we don't know, and cannot promise that.) Odie would do best in a quiet home without kids, dogs, or dominant kitties, somewhere he can feel safe and comfortable enough to let his guard down. Included with the adoption is the kitty's spay/neuter, all current-due FVRCP, FeLeuk, and rabies vaccinations for kitties over 1-year, deworming, flea treatment, a wellness check, FIV/FeLV combo testing, and microchipping. Story
Ozzy is a loving and affectionate boy who has overcome a few health challenges in his short life. He has taken everything in stride, and continues to be a light in his foster's household! EVERY new kitten that comes in is his best friend, and EVERY new toy is a new adventure!! He is constantly purring, and LOVES being in the same room as his people. Ozzy had a ruptured eye which led to its altered appearance. While it may effect his vision to some degree, he does not show it! He also has recurrent FHV-1 which leads to flare ups of sneezing, congestion and discharge. His foster has worked tirelessly to find ways to prevent and manage his flare ups, and is more than happy to share these with his future family! While he may look a little silly winking most of the time, this boy has nothing but LOVE and HAPPINESS to share!! Our vet estimates Ozzy's age at under 1 year old. Included with the adoption is the kitty's neuter, all applicable birth-to-one-year FVRCP, FeLeuk and first round of rabies vaccinations, deworming, flea treatment, a wellness check, FIV/FeLV combo testing, and microchipping. In addition to being fully vetted, our cats and kittens are highly socialized. We even offer a getting acquainted period, so you can comfortably settle in with your new kitty! Please note, young kitties do best with another kitty in the household. To apply to adopt, please complete an adoption inquiry at www.bluesmews.org so our adoption specialist volunteer can review it and contact you!

Story
Vengeance is a special boy looking for a special home! Vengeance is a special needs cat who will need an understanding adopter. You see, Vengeance is affectionately called “Booger Boy” He gets these sneezing fits and sneezes lots of snot and boogers. He is a cat that will require routine antibiotics when his sneezing gets too bad. Unfortunately, the symptoms will never fully go away... we had hoped his sneezing was temporary and his first round of antibiotics would take care of it, but unfortunately that wasn't meant to be.. poor Vengeance has been dealing with this since he was a tiny kitten, but even a booger boy deserves a great, loving home!!! Vengeance LOVES other cats! He loves to cuddle up with them and play. He is very much an affectionate lap kitty. If interested in meeting or adopting Vengeance, please apply at Bluesmews.org

Story
Hey there, I'm Dasher! I'm not your average cat, I've got superpowers. One day, I used my super speed to save a little boy from a runaway bicycle. My heroic act didn't go unnoticed, but my identity had to be kept a secret. So, I was whisked away to Paws Animal Shelter for super pets like me. I've got a lot of love to give and I'm as playful as they come. I'm always curious, ready to explore every corner of my new home. But beware, I've got a knack for dashing out the door when you least expect it. If you're looking for a feline companion who can keep you on your toes, I'm your cat. I promise to use my super speed for good, and only when necessary. Adopt me, and together, we can embark on an exciting adventure of a lifetime.Note from Paws humans: To apply to adopt any of our cats or kittens, please visit our website and fill out our on-line application at https://www.pawsurbana.org/apply-to-adopt

Story
Hello there, I'm Chaz. I've got a knack for independence, a playful spirit, and a mind as sharp as a tack. I've been told I'm quite the athlete too, especially when it comes to fishing pole toys. I can leap and pounce like no other, making those toys wish they'd never tangled with me. Life here in the shelter is okay, but I'm eager for more. I crave a home where I can share my playful antics and show off my smarts. I'm not just a cat, I'm a companion, a playmate, a confidante. If you're looking for a partner in fun and a buddy to share quiet moments with, then I'm your girl. I've been at the shelter since I was a week old, and I'd love to have my own home.  I promise, adopting me will be the best decision you've ever made.Note from Paws humans: To apply to adopt any of our cats or kittens, please visit our website and fill out our on-line application at https://www.pawsurbana.org/apply-to-adopt
