Story
Vengeance is a special boy looking for a special home! Vengeance is a special needs cat who will need an understanding adopter. You see, Vengeance is affectionately called “Booger Boy” He gets these sneezing fits and sneezes lots of snot and boogers. He is a cat that will require routine antibiotics when his sneezing gets too bad. Unfortunately, the symptoms will never fully go away... we had hoped his sneezing was temporary and his first round of antibiotics would take care of it, but unfortunately that wasn't meant to be.. poor Vengeance has been dealing with this since he was a tiny kitten, but even a booger boy deserves a great, loving home!!! Vengeance LOVES other cats! He loves to cuddle up with them and play. He is very much an affectionate lap kitty. If interested in meeting or adopting Vengeance, please apply at Bluesmews.org

Story
**COURTESY POST** This is Boragard: Boragard and his two siblings were born to a young stray. Just two days before they were born, their mom was rescued from the wrath of a cranky raccoon that was “sharing” a food dish and brought to me by a long-time family friend. He started out rather scared of being picked up and held but now, he loves it and will climb on chairs or totes to get higher up so that I might see him and scoop him up. He is very sweet and loves cuddles. He doesn't even mind being held like a baby. He’s a very big boy and is already as big as his young momma. His birthday is July 19, 2022. He’s been neutered, combo tested negative and is fully vaccinated. Boragard would do best in a home with other cats. To adopt Boragard, please email thecopaceticcat@yahoo.com

Story
An adoption application must be submitted and can be found at www.bluesmews.org *** Update March 2021 MacGyver says ... The outcome of my experiments were quite satisfactory, and so It is decided. I am to be a lap cat. I found my experiments to be quite informative. Most notably, I have determined that a proper lap does not have a laptop on it. Laptops, while warm, do not possess the right feel underfoot. So, if you wish me to be your lap cat, you must rid your lap of any laptops. Additionally, I have found that shoulders can serve as adequate resting places when supplementally supported by the arm or back of a recliner. This has been found to be an acceptable alternate for those times when your laptop must be in your lap. Further experiments are underway to determine the optimal positioning - is it best to face the laptop or face away from it? You must note, despite having become a lap cat, I have not budged in my refusal to become a pick-me-up cat. Do not attempt it. I will not be pleased. Note also, if you ignore my yowl of protest, I have claws with which to express my displeasure. January 2021 MacGyver says ... So you heard I am just like Garfield? That I am a bit of a jerk to the other cats? Seriously? Only a bit? I strive for excellence in everything I do. Plus, it is only SOME of the other cats - the ones I don’t like. Other than my color, I don’t see any resemblance at all to Garfield. Garfield is a lasagna-eating slob. I, on the other hand, am a fit kitty with a preference for a more nutritional diet of dry kibble. You can keep that human food to yourself. I don't want it. Unlike Garfield, I will NEVER wake you up in the morning so you can feed me. That is not my style. I will wait for you to wake up, then demand my morning quota of pets. If you prefer to remain in bed, I will lie on top of you, giving you the perfect excuse to stay under the covers while petting me. I am not what you would call a lap cat, but recently I have been experimenting with lap sitting. I think that I may come to enjoy this activity if presented with a suitably comfortable lap. The warmth potential is enticing, and I believe, mutually enjoyable, particularly on winter mornings. And if I choose to become a lap cat, you can be sure I will strive for excellence in this endeavor.

Story
**Courtesy Post** Please email all inquiries to thecopaceticcat@yahoo.com. The Copacetic Cat is based in Darke County but offers initial meet and greet video chats through Facebook or Zoom. Conan is a very sweet, kind of reserved boy. He loves head scratches and lap time as well as playing. He would make a nice couch-sitting buddy but still enjoys toys and being played with. He loves kittens and helped raise some of his fellow fosters. We estimate he was born sometime in 2019. He’s been neutered, combo tested negative and is fully vaccinated and litter trained. Conan would do great in a house with other cats or to be adopted with one of her foster buddies. He is especially good pals with another foster kitty named Nero. He may do ok in a house with a very chill dog and older children.

Story
Charlie is a healthy male adult cat weight approx 13 pounds. Has front claws removed. Had surgery a number if years ago for bladder stones and blockage. I feed him Proplan urinary tract health food and he hasn’t had any problems since. I don’t have the time to send with him like he should have. I’m very busy with work and school and travel. I want him to go to a good home where he will get all the love and attention he can handle. Had him since he was a kitten. He’s about 10 yrs old, not sure i’d have to dig out his vet file. Still very healthy and active. Lots of miles left in him. He comes with everything, carrier, little box, a couple jugs of litter, bowls, some treats and whatever food i have at the time. Please only respond if you’re interested in giving him a real loving home. If you’re looking for a gift for your kids or your wife, only to be neglected when the novelty wears off, he’s not the one for you. Thanks for looking.

Story
I adopted Kate in November from SICSA. Unfortunately, I have an extremely busy work schedule and she is alone for long hours each day. This has caused her to have some behavioral issues--mainly with the litter box, and I live in a rental which is why that is not something I am able to handle well. She is an extremely friendly, sociable, and vocal cat. She is adventurous and curious, and loves to snuggle. If you let her, she will follow you around all day every day. Kate loves to play and hang out with her human. As long as she is provided with lots of attention, she is an absolutely perfect cat! Until my work schedule got crazy and she was alone more, I never had litter box issues with her or anything. She still mainly uses the litter box with only occasional lapses. She is currently only eating dry food because her wet food was giving her tummy issues. Kate would do best in a home where she can be provided with unlimited love, attention, and the affection that she so freely gives.

Story
When we rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Greater Cincinnati, they are rarely healthy little angels. Nearly all have injuries, infections, and/or parasites. But we love them instantly. Just like little Cheese Curd. As an itty bitty, she had a horrible eye infection. But after months of treatment, her eye has scarred over and she now runs and plays and cuddles like other healthy kittens. Her life is purrfect with her sister from another mister, Tater Tot. They are an adorable pair with Tater Tot bringing out all the kitten goodness that Cheese Curd has to offer. Cheese Curd’s eye is a little weepy at times, but other than a quick wipe, her eye needs no additional care. Cheese Curd and Tater Tot’s adoption fee is $200 for the pair and must be adopted together. The kittens are about 4 months old, spayed, FIV/Felv negative, UTD on vaccinations, treated for parasites, microchipped (with lifetime free registration), and fostered/ socialized in a loving family home. The works! Please call Wendi at (859) 394-4910 or Brittney at (513) 265-7293 if interested.
