Story
Queenie came to us as a very small kitten last fall. She has been the sweetest and most loving cat. She is well behaved. Will come and sit on your lap and purr. She took to the litter box with no problem. She has been spayed and declawed just recently (about a month ago). Now she will not use the litter box. We are not sure why. We have tried a different litter and even a new litter box with no luck. We are just hoping that maybe a new environment will help her and she will be back to her self.

Story
Sweet Jackson climbs into his foster's lap for snuggles, happily dashes all over the house like a fuzzy maniac, then rolls around on the carpet in the hallway, eyes half closed with a happy grin on his face! His foster says he's totally talkative too, getting their attention and chatting with them in his cute, high-pitched mew.... It's so cute, they sometimes call him squeaky! Our vet estimates Jackson to be just over a year old. Included with the adoption is his neuter, all current-due FVRCP, FeLeuk, and rabies vaccinations for kitties over 1-year, deworming, flea treatment, a wellness check, FIV/FeLV combo testing, and microchipping. In addition to being fully vetted, our cats and kittens are highly socialized. We offer a 2-week getting acquainted period and a 2-week wellness guarantee, so you can comfortably settle in with your new kitty! To apply to adopt, please complete an adoption inquiry at www.bluesmews.org so our adoption specialist volunteer can review it and contact you!

Story
Clover and his sister have had some rough luck, to say the least! At 7 years young, their family added a new family member with severe allergies, and suddenly these two sweeties lost the home they knew. Clover is more outgoing, and his sister Daisy watches to see if he says things are ok before she ventures out as well. They will do fine in separate homes, but if you're thinking of adopting a pair of kitties, these calm, sweet tabbies would make a fabulous duo! Included with the adoption is the kitty's spay/neuter, all current-due FVRCP, FeLeuk, and rabies vaccinations for kitties over 1-year, deworming, flea treatment, a wellness check, FIV/FeLV combo testing, and microchipping. Story
Odie is a nervous guy. He's been with his foster mom for quite some time, and still isn't so sure about it when she walks over to him. There ARE a lot of foster siblings there, though... it's possible that with just the right balance of a quiet home and a very patient person, Odie may decide he wants a bit more human interaction (but we don't know, and cannot promise that.) Odie would do best in a quiet home without kids, dogs, or dominant kitties, somewhere he can feel safe and comfortable enough to let his guard down. Included with the adoption is the kitty's spay/neuter, all current-due FVRCP, FeLeuk, and rabies vaccinations for kitties over 1-year, deworming, flea treatment, a wellness check, FIV/FeLV combo testing, and microchipping. Story
Add some ‘purr’ to your life, with cutie boy, Burr! This sweet chubby cheek boy is as snuggly as they come. He loves to curl up with you, purr his little heart out, and be your bedtime buddy. At night especially, he’s the best cuddle partner around. He’s also super talkative and will happily “chat” with you throughout the day. And when it comes to other cats—he’s all about making friends!Burr is known to be a little dramatic if you try to leave the room without giving him the love and attention he feels he deserves. If he’s talking to you, he expects to be acknowledged—he knows his worth!Like all of us, he’s had a few struggles. He has had some bowel issues in the past, though his new medicine has made a world of difference. He’s also FIV positive, which sounds scary but really just means he needs a loving, low-stress home and good care (and he has lots of years of love to give!). He’s not the biggest fan of dogs, though with time and patience he can adjust—but with cats, he’s all in!At the end of the day, this boy is pure sweetness wrapped up in a furry little package. He just needs the right home to see past “the ugly” and embrace all the good and love he has to give. We believe Burr to be around 2 years old, and currently weighs around 10 lbs (but still needs to put on a few more pounds). You may apply to adopt Burr at www.pawpatroldayton.com/adopt. Burr is vaccinated, FELV tested negative, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $50. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.

Story
Meet Lyra, your future Executive Assistant (Feline Division) 😻If you work from home and feel like something’s missing… it’s probably Lyra. This one-year-old multitasker has already mastered:Lying on important papers so they don’t blow awayWatching you type (quality control is very important)Attempting to enter passwords on your behalfKeeping your lap warm so you definitely don’t get up and take unnecessary breaksLyra spent her earlier days as an outdoor adventurer and has the hunter skills to prove it, but she’s officially retired from that life. After motherhood and a whole lot of excitement, she’s ready for a calm, loving home where she can soak up sunbeams and affection. She loves pets and attention (and will politely request more), though she’s still working her way toward full-time lap cat status. Lyra has been an excellent mom—to her kittens and even her six-year-old human foster sibling—showing patience, sweetness, and lots of love. She’s litter trained, learning to rock a harness for supervised outdoor adventures, and has adjusted beautifully to indoor life while still appreciating a good window view.✨ The fine print:Spayed, up to date on vaccines, tested, and microchipped. Adoption fee: $50Ready to hire the best assistant you’ll ever have?Apply to adopt Lyra at www.pawpatroldayton.com/adopt 🐾Warning: productivity may improve, but cuddles will definitely increase. 💕 All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.
