Story
This is Berlin and Tokyo they are 3 years old. Berlin is male and is really a good cat, he is very friendly and sweet and get along and used to you very quickly, and loves cuddle. Tokyo is female and she is a bit more shy but once she feels comfortable she will warm up to you, she is very sweet and loves butt scratches, we are sad and heartbroken to have to rehome them but due moving and other personal reasons we will have to, we would want them to stay together with their forever new family/home.

Story
Meet Wanda IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN WANDA, PLEASE GO TO OUR WEBSITE TO READ ABOUT THE PROCESS AND FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION. www.furkidrescue.org Wanda was a young teenage kitten when we trapped her in a feral colony in Bethel Park. We had a cat experienced foster home willing to take her in as a foster and get her used to domestic life. It took months, but now she loves the indoors, and loves human affection and attention. She follows her foster mom, Emilie, around the house, “yelling” at her, and demanding pets and butt scratches. She also gets along well with the resident cats and dog, and you can often find her hanging out with the dog!

Story
A Brave Survivor Seeking Her Quiet Forever SanctuaryJola Baby is a beautiful three-year-old soul who has overcome more in her short life than most cats ever face. After a difficult start surviving on her own and recovering from a serious injury, she has spent the last year and a half blossoming in a loving home.Because of her past, Jola is a "cat’s cat"—she is independent and values her personal space. She isn't looking for a constant cuddle-buddy, but rather a patient partner who understands that trust is earned and "petting time" is on her terms. Once she feels safe, her kind and loving side truly shines. Jola’s trauma has left her with a fierce protective streak, meaning she must be the only pet in the household. She is looking for a quiet, cat-savvy hero who can give her the peaceful, solo life she deserves.

Story
My name is Garol, I am a gal that will brighten your day. I am comical to watch with a quirky personality. My foster mom says I am good at rolling over to show you my belly. That means I am comfortable with you. I love affection and crave belly rubs the most. My absolute favorite place to be is on the cat tree. This is a must to have in my new home, any kind works for me, this is just where I like to be. Boxes are also my bed. I would be a great companion for any home. I enjoy the company of other cats and I get along with kids. My best friend is my fosters personal cat (who is an orange tabby). I do not mind the dogs. Schedule a greet with me to see if I would be a good addition to your home. Named origin: Named after Saturday Night Live Skit Her story: NPLB was called to help because I was injured. The top of my hip bone by my tail on my back was fully ripped opened and exposed from some sort of injury. I was trapped and treated. The wound took several treatments to heal. I have gained weight and thrive with the company of other pets and people indoors. I once was shy and timid and now I am outgoing, loving and affection seeking. - NOW YOU DID IT! You found a cat rescue that’s unique and fun to visit too! We do some really BIG things for the community cats in Pittsburgh. It is an awesome place to come and see if your next kitty cat is here, patiently waiting for you. The big named shelters no longer do combo testing, so if you have another cat in the home, please consider your local small rescue. You"ll want to look into a combo tested cat-to keep your cat from unknowingly being exposed to a disease. The rescue is on the 2nd & 3rd floors of my big Pittsburgh home (I reside on the 1st floor). Set up an appointment to come and visit by calling or text FAON @ 412-863-0064. I will show you all the cats and then you/yours can go around and visit with them. Once the adults are vetted and tested/vaccinated- we let them free roam. There is a large, outside CAT E O where some enjoy to layout outside. There is also plenty of room inside for a good cat nap .All the cats are SPAYED/NEUTERED, dewormed, given Capstar for fleas, have at least one/two FVRCP vaccines, rabies, ear mite treated (if needed), combo tested for FeLV & FIV, and microchipped. All included in the adoption fee. Be sure to look around, spend time with them. We always have cats in a wide variety of age/personalities. Don't forget to visit the one in the corner, those cats need a chance and will blossom in a calmer environment (and are often the best cats). “Feel their soul” if you would and see if it pairs to yours. If you fall in love here, great. If not, no hard feelings. Most people say it was hard to choose. We changed the cat’s life by rescuing them. Now they need rescued one last time…..could you be that person? We hope so. The cats here were rescued from outside, neglect, poverty, or were left somewhere purposely or just needed to be found. This is really an AMAZING process. Come see why Save Our Strays has adopted out over 1000 cats in 4.5 years. We use some of our profits to TNR (trap, neuter, release) countless strays that are too unsocial for a home but desperately need altered. By spay and neutering them, they can live a healthier life & we help decrease the number of outside domestic cats. Adopting from Save Our Strays helps to support that. A little about me and SOS. I rescue and live with the cats, so I am very familiar with them and their background. I have some amazing women that volunteer here and one main volunteer Ms Chris. They help to make this drastic change in the cat’s life possible. We do all that we can here for the cats. Often, we are complimented on how clean everything is. We use stainless steel litter pans and bowls, that are disinfected daily. We feed Purina Pro Plan (kitten)and a canned breakfast with a probiotic. If you have done the long cat application and then no one gets back to you, or the cats already adopted by the time they do, then yinz should check us out. We have same day adoptions. I do not have a long application process. I ask that you are allowed to have a cat where you live and are financially able to afford their care. I ask that you not declaw that cat and if they get sick take them to the doctor. Give the cat time to slowly adjust, one last time to their new environment, so it’s a pleasant experience for all.-

NOW YOU DID IT! You found a cat rescue that’s unique, kind of small, but does some really BIG things for the community cats in Pittsburgh. It is an awesome place to come and see if your next kitty cat is here, patiently waiting for you to come and get them. The rescue is on the 2nd & 3rd floors of my Pittsburgh home (I reside on the 1st floor). Set up an appointment to come and visit by calling or text FAON @ 412-863-0064. I will show you all of the cats and then you/yours can go around and visit with them. Feed them a Churru or two...but remember this- not the big, older orange or white ones! They are my cats Ralph and White Boy and know the trick and will act starved. You will see, they are not. Once the adults are vetted and tested/vaccinated- I let them free roam. We have a large, outside CAT E O where some enjoy to layout outside. There is also plenty of room inside for a good cat nap. We always have cats in a wide variety of age/personalities. Don't forget to visit the shy one in the corner, those cats need a chance and will blossom in a calmer environment (and are often times the best cats). Lots of the kittens here need your time, esp. at first. We save the cutest cats from outside, neglect, poverty, sad emails or stumble upon them by luck over and over again. Come see why Save Our Strays has adopted out over 1000 cats in 4 years. We use some of our profits to TNR (trap, neuter, release) countless strays that are too unsocial for a home but desperately need altered. The cat has most likely been through a lot before finding you. You are also rescuing them. In return, they will love you for life.
