Story
I adopted Miso in 2019 after returning home from a military deployment overseas. She has been a loving companion and a very special part of my life since then. Miso is 6 years old (May 10 birthday!) I am looking for a calm, loving home where Miso can receive plenty of cuddles and affection. While we truly wish we could keep her, we have a 1-year-old son who adores her and constantly wants to be close to her. Unfortunately, Miso becomes very stressed around young children and has scratched him on a few occasions when he gets too close. Because this happens so frequently, we feel it is safest and fairest for Miso to find a home without small children, where she can feel relaxed and secure. She truly is an affectionate, cuddly, sweet, independent, playful, loyal, and gentle girl (with adults). She does very well with other animals and enjoys people, but she is not comfortable around young children. I know there is a home out there that will make her and their home happy.

Story
Peanut Brittle was adopted from a shelter when she was an older kitten. She is the most easy going, affectionate cat I have ever met. She loves to be pet and cuddle, she likes to sleep on the bed next to us. She is mostly mellow, but does like to play with string or other toys. She is clingy, she wants to be where you are. She is okay being left alone for awhile. She's a very sweet cat. She has heart palpitations, which the vet says is mostly benign. One of her eyes has a spot that is growing very slowly, the vet also says it's not really something to worry about. Our lives have gotten very buster with 2 children and full time jobs, and Peanut has been throwing up more recently. We took her to the vet and they didn't find anything wrong. I read that stressed cats can stress vomit, and I worry that she is feeling neglected. I have grown to dislike her because she wants so much attention and I don't have the energy to give it. I worry she knows I don't like her and it's stressing her.

Story
Ellie is a 7 year old sweet cat. We rescued Ellie when she was a kitten. She is declawed and spayed. Unfortunately, we have a larger male cat that is dominating Ellie. It’d be best to find her a new home where she can be a solo kitty. She loves to be pet, snuggles in bed, and is a couch potato.

Story
I got Fitta at a humane society about a year ago. When I adopted her she was almost one, she turns two this May. She is extremely playful and has a big personality, however she is not big on being picked up or excessive petting. She gets along with my one dog but i’m not sure about other cats. I am moving across the country in a month or so and really need to rehome her to a loving family that will give her a lot of attention and play with her!

Story
Courtesy Post Location: Enola, PA Approx DOB: 2015 Looking for a new best friend? Romeo might be your man! Romeo is very affectionate, has lots of personality, and of course, he’s very photogenic! He enjoys spending hours cuddled up with his foster mom, getting scratches under the chin, and gazing into your eyes when you talk to him. Romeo would probably do best as the only pet, but he might be ok with a cat or dog if they let him be in charge. Romeo is 10, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He also tested positive for feline AIDS (FIV) but has not been sick or shown any symptoms. Romeo is available for private adoption. Personal references, vet reference, and approval from landlord if you’re a renter, will be required. Romeo is a cat who will try to get outside, if possible… so he needs a secure home who is committed to continuing an indoor-only life for him. For additional information or to discuss adoption, please contact Gayle Kohr at 717-574-2664, gckohr@comcast.net, or send a message to Gayle Kohr on FB Messenger.

Story
Paisley is a wonderful young girl looking for a loving and lasting forever home. She was adopted previously but then found as a stray. Her adoptive owner did not care for her or want her back when she was found. While out on her own, we believe that Paisley had a run in with another stray cat with feline AIDS (feline FIV). When Paisley came back into our care, she tested positive for FIV. Paisley is approximately 2 years old with a petite frame. In fact, her rescuer thought she might be a kitten but the vet estimated her age as 2 years old. Paisley is very sweet with a friendly demeanor and is very affectionate and talkative. She likes to “head bump” a lot and rub up against your legs. She enjoys being petted and purrs when she eats. She also kneads frequently when you love on her. Please don’t let Paisley’s FIV status deter you. Cats with FIV can live normal, health lives just like other cats. Paisley is currently doing great now that she is in a caring foster home. She should not be in a home with other non-FIV cats but can be with other cats with FIV. Paisley wants nothing more than to be loved and have a good home. We know the home that Paisley finds will be just as grateful to have her as Paisley will be to live there. All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, treated with flea preventative, microchipped, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adoption application, phone interview, home visit, and adoption fee required (+ PA Sales tax). Adoption fees are: Baby (Kittens up to 1 year) = $125 Young & Adult (1-7 years) = $100 Seniors (8+ years) = $80 Please also read our Core Values prior to applying, www.furryfriendsnetwork.com/adopt/our-expectations.
