Story
Cat Friend is our very very dear cat of over 10 years, who has struggled behaviorally since our first child has gotten older and more active. He is affectionate, cuddly, and loves holding court on the screened back porch. He likes to patrol the house at night but also likes to sleep in the bed with his people. He is great at knowing when someone is sick and giving them extra cuddles. We got him as a young, abandoned kitten and have been with him his whole life and much of ours. He is roughly 11 years old. For about the last 7 years, we've had another cat in the home that he is friendly with, and we believe he likes the company, but we imagine that at this point in his life he might like to be the only cat in someone's home.

Story
Storm is a loving cat by himself. With my other cat he bites her in the neck, around her mouth and he pins her down. With my service dog he jumps at her and tries to bite her tail. Other then what I said before he is a loving cat by himself he will jump on your lap and laid down and go to sleep or he will head bump me alot. He will laid down on the computer and go to sleep. He is a good cat by himself. He likes to look out the window and he likes to lay on the bed and go to sleep.

Story
Cat 1 (front): Adult female tabby/calico (caliby) domestic shorthair with orange, black, and brown tabby striping and white on her chest and paws. Medium build with a healthy, smooth coat. She is more cautious and shy, and may hiss when feeling nervous or overwhelmed. She will need a patient adopter who can give her time and space to adjust, but benefits from the comfort of her companion. Cat 2 (back): Adult female tabby/calico (caliby) domestic shorthair with similar orange, black, and brown tabby markings and more white on her chest and face. Medium build with a well-maintained coat. She is talkative, affectionate, and enjoys being pet. She is social and engages easily with people. Additional Notes: These cats are a bonded pair and rely on each other for comfort and security. They should be adopted and kept together. Cat 2’s friendly nature helps Cat 1 feel more at ease, making them a great balance.

Story
Marlow is an incredibly cuddly cat who is more dog-like than cat-like. She will follow you around and loves pets and nighttime snuggling. Churu treats are her favorite! She lived with another cat a few years ago with no issues but has been a solo house pet for the last few years. Looking for a loving home that can give her the time dedication she needs.

Story
Casey is 5 years old and was adopted with her brother at 6 months. She loves attention and loves to cuddle. She will need time to warm up and likes women more than men. She seems startled by a man’s heavy step or deep voice. She would do well in a quieter home. She can be vocal and meow for attention and gives kisses. She likes to go into the bathroom with her owner but if she doesn’t make it in time she is always waiting patiently outside the door. She likes strings, rubber bands and treats. Over the past 4 years she has urinated on different soft surfaces around the house. She was taken to the vet multiple times. A few times she had a tiny amount of crystals in her urine and was given medication. Other times there were no medical issues. She may be stressed in the house with 2 other cats and 3 out of 4 humans being male. She has never hissed, bitten or scratched anyone and is very good at the vet. She needs an opportunity to thrive in a different environment.

Story
I’m Caesar, and I'm looking for someone to spend the better half of my life with. I was found abandoned in a sealed basement in Philly with my brother, who passed away shortly after due to infection from the living conditions, but after some love from my foster parents, I'm ready for my forever family! My foster noticed that my face is paralyzed and I've been thoroughly checked out. The good news is, it is stable and does not limit me at all, no need for meds or eye drops! Even better- it gives me a very charming smirk...bad news is I can get the occasional ear infection since I forget to clean the ear I can't feel! I love people and while I'm still learning how to trust and interact with them, I’m SUPER cuddly and a little needy once I trust you. I can get a little too excited when getting attention, especially at first, but I promise I'm working on better manners and how to ask for more—I just love pets! I’m neutered, up to date on vaccines, and all ready to go home with you. My perfect home would be just adult humans; I have had a few feline roommates; I didn’t love all of them and would require slow, respectful introductions to other cats. If there are children in the home, I am best suited for older ones who will respect my signals. Story
Meet Carleton, a majestic and impressively large cat with a heart as gentle as his rumbling purr. Carleton is the definition of a mellow soul—he approaches life with an easy-going demeanor and seeks out quiet comfort.   &#226&#128&#139He is a dedicated companion, but he expresses his devotion in the most wonderfully low-maintenance way. He is perfectly content to simply exist near you, whether that’s on the sofa beside you, or curled up on a blanket a few feet away. He offers his quiet company and soaks in gentle affection like head scratches and soft pets. &#226&#128&#139He truly doesn't ask for much—just a cozy spot, a kind heart, and someone who appreciates a big, gentle fuzzy friend.   &#226&#128&#139Home Preferences & Boundaries: &#226&#128&#139It's important for his new family to know that Carleton is not a fan of being picked up and carried around; he prefers to keep all four paws on the ground. A home that respects this boundary will be a perfect fit for him. &#226&#128&#139Kids: We believe Carleton can thrive in a home with gentle, respectful children who have been taught how to be kind to animals.  &#226&#128&#139Dogs: His interactions with dogs are currently unknown. &#226&#128&#139If you are looking for a calm, unwavering presence in your life—a large cat who will offer steady, quiet company without demanding the spotlight—Carleton is ready to offer his gentle soul to your home.     To submit an adoption application,  please utilize the link below. https://animalfriendsoflansdowne.org/adoption-application   Animal Friends of Lansdowne is a non-profit, all-volunteer community rescue, now in their twenty-first year.Animal Friends of Lansdowne Post Office Box 869 Lansdowne, PA 19050 (484) 463-1277 email: info@animalfriendsoflansdowne.org www.animalfriendsoflansdowne.org        Please Follow AFL on Facebook and Instagram! Good with cats,
Story
Birdie (female tuxedo kitten) and Chief (her black brother) were abandoned outdoors in the cold with no food or water at the tender age of about 5 months. They were rescued on Super Bowl Sunday, and it was later discovered that poor Birdie was so starved that she was eating garbage and had consumed plastic bags, which messed up her digestive tract, requiring emergency surgery. She is absolutely fine now, and both siblings are spayed/neutered, tested negative, up to date on all their shots and vet care, and microchipped. They are very bonded and will need to stay together. Birdie and Chief are happy, playful kittens (born about September 2024). They are super friendly and are both foodies, as you might imagine given their history. They especially love their wet food. They are in foster with other cats and dogs. They’re a little leery of the dogs but get along well with all the cats in the home, especially Peanut Butter, another AFL foster kitten who is their chosen play buddy. They adore affection and attention from their humans. Don’t miss out on these champion kittens—get your application in today!
