I promised to care for my dad's cat, Lucy, following his death earlier this year. I have tried, but after my second bout of pneumonia due to kitty-induced asthma exacerbations, I realize that I cannot keep Lucy in my home long term. Lucy is skittish and takes a minute to warm up, but once she knows you are her person, she will love you unconditionally. She could probably live with another calm animal that won't chase or torment her. She showed friendly interest in our dog, but the sentiment was not returned (don't worry, we keep them separated). I am looking for a loving home to add this pretty kitty to their family. Lucy is a 9 year old gray tabby, spayed, vaccinated, claws intact. Despite all her upheaval with losing my dad, she has never had a potty accident and has been a perfect house guest. Please consider providing this kitty a loving home.

Meet "Queen" Josephine! She's looking for a home where she can be your one and only feline companion. Josephine is 8 years old and when her hooman passed away, we took her in so that she wouldn't go to a shelter. Josephine LOVES people! She loves attention, pets, scratches, being brushed, cozy blankets to curl up on, or a good lap to sit in. She will reward you with crazy loud purring! Josephine also loves pom pom toys, mouse toys, scratching boards/posts, crunchy Temptations treats, Fancy Feast wet food (fish & shrimp feast is her fave!), and any kind of dry food. Did we mention she's a voluptuous 14 pounds? She's a little self conscious, so she doesn't like to be picked up! Unfortunately, Josephine does NOT like other cats. Our 2 resident furriends have not been happy since Josephine arrived, and Josephine has made her dislike of them well known! She needs a home where she is an only cat, and we recommend older kids only (we don't know her experience with babies/little children).

Matty is a handsome, smart, and very loving boy— This long-legged drink of water has even figured out how to open his screen door to let himself outside!! He lost his tail to a car accident many years ago, but is otherwise healthy, happy and very smart. He may have green eyes, but he’s not jealous-- he gets along well with his sibling- especially the equally handsome Josh. Matty would be best suited to a home with safe outdoor spaces, as he’s an explorer. These two boys are like humans...very close and will melt your heart!! He makes life a joy!! Josh is a quiet, mellow boy who loves lying in a warm window and snoozing. He’s been a bit lonely since his sister passed away, and would probably do best in a fairly quiet household, but he will warm your heart with his long stretches, purrs, and sweet face. Josh is very close to his caretaker and mamma, and would be happiest in the transition with his sibling Matty and with some access to a safe outdoor setting or a nice sunroom to watch birds. Matty and Josh’s current owner is having serious health problems and needs to relocate out of state to be closer to her family and to medical care. It breaks our heart to rehome Bunny. She is so sweet! We've really tried, but her and our other cat just don't get along. Bunny is scared of her, and she's also scared of my husband. This likely means she had a traumatic experience with a man in the past. She needs to go to a female-only household. She might be ok with a very chill cat who is her size or smaller but ideally she'd be the only pet. She's scared of our cat and my husband, but she loves me! She loves to snuggle and sit in my lap. She's very playful. She likes play time with her feather wand toy. She likes mouse and bird YouTube videos, and sometimes just watching TV in general. In the right household she would really flourish. We wish we could keep her, but it's not fair to make her to live in a household where she constantly feels she has to run and hide when my husband or other cat walks into a room. If it didn't work out, we'd happily take her back and find her a new home.

We adopted Layla in PetSmart via Stray Cat Blues, Inc. in 10/2016, born on 6/1/16, spayed 10/6/216, and 100% up to date on shots. In '22, we adopted a puppy (Champ, Pitt mix) and for a while Layla and Champ got along very well. As he grew to 95 lbs, Layla began to act out, scratching walls and defecating outside of her litter box. Our vet did a physical exam and said she is healthy and that she is acting out. Our vet provided us with various behavioral tactics to help with Layla not using her litter box and trying to gain comfort with Champ. We have gone through several behavioral methods over 2.5 years but unfortunately nothing seems to work. Layla loves attention. When she does get it one on one, she is wonderful - cuddling, loving, purring, and all. It has gotten to the point that Layla cannot come downstairs and Champ cannot go upstairs. Layla deserves to feel safe all the time and needs a home who can provide her with the love, affection, and cuddling she deserves. Please help.
