Story
Bette is a shy girl with people. She needs a family willing to work with her to gain her trust. She is sweet as pie, and very food motivated. She would make an exceptional companion to another cat. She loves her foster siblings and is often found snuggled up or playing with one of them. She is fine with dogs and has no issue telling them to "back off" when they get in her space. If interested in Bette, please fill out an adoption application at www.pldpaws.org, email with questions pldpaws@gmail.com.

Story
Shma wandered into our basement (and into our hearts) just as the cold weather spread throughout our neighborhood at the end of this past January. She is an absolute darling: very affectionate, playful, positively adorable, and well behaved (except with our other cats). We have 3 older cats who've been part of our family for many years. Shma has some old scars and a torn ear (evidence of her valor, resilience, and brute strength). I suspect she had a rough time in the wild before coming to us and may not take well to other cats. She is lovely and cuddly with all of the family members and our 2 dogs but has quarrels with the other cats. She would make a wonderful, perfect pet for someone. She is truly, truly sweet and if it weren't for my other cats, I would be happy to have her stay with us. My son's girl friend wants to take her but won't be able to until this July. If someone wants to give her a temporary home, that would be wonderful as well. Thank you for your consideration.

Story
This is Max, he is 13 years old. He is a sweet, cuddly tabby that loves attention. Max has behavioral issues that are becoming overwhelming to our household. Max has a spraying issue that seems to be agitated more-so by the other pets in our home. I am not sure if the spraying would stop if he was an only pet and received more attention. In addition to his behavioral issues, I have developed an allergy to his salvia which is giving me hives. He is a sweet boy and does enjoy the outside. Hopefully someone has the right heart and home to welcome Max.

Story
This is one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make. Harlo and Azzreal are not just my cats—they are my family. Due to unexpected life circumstances, I must find them a new home, a decision made entirely out of love. Harlo and Azzreal are brother and sister and have been together their entire lives. They are deeply bonded and must be adopted together. I will not separate them. They are loving, affectionate, and bring so much joy. My only wish is to find a forever family who will love and cherish them as much as I do. I'm looking for someone who understands that adopting them means welcoming two beloved family members into their home for life. Letting them go breaks my heart, but knowing they are safe, loved, and together will bring me peace.

Story
I've had the pleasure of sharing my life with Haida since the day she was born. She's a beloved member of our family. Haida is no ordinary feline; she's a gentle soul with stunning green eyes and a heart of gold. She adores cuddling up in bed with her favorite people and has a quirky fondness for lounging in the bathtub, sipping cold water from the bathroom sink. Her water bowl must always be filled with ice-cold water, and she's particularly fond of pats on her rear end and soothing rubs. Haida is a social butterfly, getting along swimmingly with people, babies, and other cats. She's a clever girl, too, understanding exactly what you mean when you speak to her, and she's always happy to bestow kisses upon request. Her favorite pastimes include playing hide-and-seek, indulging in treats, and rolling around in clothes and plastic bags. If I'm being completely honest, she's terrified of the vacuum cleaner! I just know that Haida's next family will adore her just as much as I do.

Story
Jolie is a 10-year-old spayed domestic shorthair who has been an indoor cat her whole life. She is microchipped, has all of her claws, and is one of the sweetest cats you will meet. She loves people, including strangers, and enjoys being brushed, treats, and relaxing in her favorite spots. We started wet food years ago after urinary issues to help with hydration, and now it is her favorite part of the day. Jolie has a history of urinary crystals and UTIs but has been healthy for many years. After we brought home our daughter, she began showing signs of stress by occasionally urinating outside the litter box. She still uses her litter box regularly, but we believe she would do best in a calm home. She is great with people and children, but would likely thrive as the only pet.

Story
Buddy was adopted from Brandywine Valley SPCA on June 8th when he was 3 months old. At the time of adoption, we did not realize that declawing was no longer an option. We had our last cat for 17 years and another cat 8 years prior to that. They were both declawed, which at that time was not considered inhumane. They were calm and loving. I do not feel at all comfortable with a cat with claws, even though I get them trimmed every other week. He is playful but sometimes forgets not to scratch or bite. I have small grandchildren whom I babysit quite often and I'm afraid that he will be too aggressive with them. Along with that my daughter-in-law and grandson are allergic (which we just found out). Buddy is sweet and playful and loves to be held and petted. Hope he finds a home that is used to having a cat with claws and maybe another cat to play with. This was a difficult decision to make. I feel I'm making the right choice both for my family and for Buddy!

Story
Wednesday is a very affectionate boy who came to our rescue in need of medical care for a bowel infection. Wednesday has made a complete recovery, and now spends most of his time clowning around on the bed and on top of the fridge. Wednesday likes other cats and currently lives in a group of cats. He is very affectionate toward other cats and likes to play with others. A very good "friend" for a disabled cat. He is such good company in the morning, with coffee :) Our adoption fees are $50 for adult cats. All of our kittens and cats are fully vetted and vaccinated before the adoption.
