Story
On march 16th, a local stray gave birth to a litter of 4 kittens. We brought the litter and their mother inside so they could grow up in safety. Goldie is a sweet and soft girl, and she's super curious about everything! She loves to run up to us and see what we're doing every so often, sniffing at my books or looking up at me curiously. She was the first of her litter to open her eyes, to walk, and to start learning to climb. She sleeps on me most nights, curled up with her siblings. She is shy about some new things, but she warms up to them quickly. I hope she goes to a loving family who will give her plenty of affection.

Story
Looking to ReHome a big, sweet tabby! This is Roosevelt (also called Bobby Boy by my toddler). We have owned him for all 6 years of his life and he has watched us create a family. He is really meant to be in a child-free, dog-free home we've come to learn (He is scared of both but not aggressive towards). Playful like a dog if you bring out those feather toys and laser pointer!!! He likes to lay by sunny windows and hide in holes. He will probably need an adjustment period to your home 💚We are located in Middletown Virginia.

Story
Chanel is very affectionate and playful. She sits on your lap, comes when you call, loves playing games with you. She loves being chased. You can pick her up, roll her around, rub her belly, and she will never swipe. She allows baths, being brushed and having her nails cut. Great with kids. Chanel is litter-trained, will also go outside. She has only ever used the wood pellets. Traveled with her internationally and she did fine. When my baby nephew comes to visit, he will grab her fur or pat her head, and she just takes it and wanders around following him everywhere. Korean Shorthairs have personalities that are curious and high-energy and love people. Talkative, like a Siamese. Needs a home that has plenty of space, a family who does not mind her making noise. I socialized her well since she was a kitten. Chanel is really unlike any other cat I have met. She's the absolute sweetest. Cuddly, energetic and clever. I made an IG with some photos and videos of her @chaneltheluxurycat.

Story
Stripes is in the house! I am about 4 years old. I love my friend Patches! It has been Patches and Stripes for as long as I can remember. It would be great if we could be adopted together. However, since we have been looking for a forever home for a long time now (more than 2 years!), Patches and I have made the tough decision that we can be adopted to separate homes. We are hoping that this, plus our adoption fees being waived thanks to generous sponsors, will increase our chances of success. I am looking for that unique adopter who will love me and take care of me but will not expect a snuggly kitty in return. I am a pseudo scaredy cat. While I still have an instinct to hide when a person walks in the room, now I stop myself and do some stretching. It is very important to stretch before exercising. Also, I am bribable. So, when you want a little attention from me, I will take Churo from your fingers! I would prefer a home with another cat. While another cat in my home can only make life better, and help me come out of my shell, children and dogs are a big ICK. Seriously, cats rule! If you think that you could be that special someone for me, please learn more about me by filling out a no obligation cat adoption application. All of our cats are in foster homes. Please submit an application to start the process today! https://humaneloudoun.org/adopt/cat-adoption-application/

Story
Meet Eileen – our terrific little tripod with a heart just as big as her story. About a year and a half ago, I was spotted at a local brewery with a badly broken back leg. The kind staff tried to get me help, but I disappeared before anyone could find me. For a long time, no one knew what happened to me… until I made a surprise reappearance this March! This time, some amazing trappers were ready, and they made sure I finally got the help I needed. Unfortunately, my leg couldn’t be saved—but the good news? I don't need it to keep living my best life! And even better… everyone quickly realized I’m not just a survivor, I’m a sweetheart. What started as a “trap, amputate, and return” plan quickly turned into a mission to find me the loving forever home I deserve. Now that I’m safely indoors, I’ve adjusted beautifully. I get around just fine on three legs and am more focused on the important things in life—like perfecting my biscuit-making skills (and taste-testing plenty of snacks… I love my treats!). I’m happy to share my space with other cats and enjoy a peaceful, cozy environment. Because I’m a tripod, I’d do best in a slower-paced home where I can move around comfortably and relax at my own pace. Give me a soft spot to land, some tasty snacks, and a little love, and I’ll be your most loyal companion. I’ve already overcome so much—now I’m just waiting for my happy ending. Could that be with you? Fill out a no obligation cat adoption application today at https://humaneloudoun.org/adopt/cat-adoption-application/

Story
Meet Vincent — a handsome two-year-old brown tabby with a sleek short coat and an easygoing charm. While he may not have Jimmie’s fluff, Vincent more than makes up for it with his expressive eyes and warm, affectionate personality. Vincent shares a close bond with his best friend Jimmie, and the two have come a long way together. Once cared for outdoors by a kind family, they were given the chance at a better life—and Vincent has embraced indoor living like a pro. He’s comfortable, curious, and clearly enjoying all the perks of home life. Vincent can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but he warms up quickly and loves being part of the action once he feels secure. He’s great with other cats and does well with respectful, mindful children, making him a wonderful addition to a calm, loving home. You may notice Vincent’s unique ear—he has a small ear tip from an old injury, which just adds to his character and tells part of his story. It doesn’t bother him one bit and only makes him more unforgettable. Whether he’s lounging nearby or keeping you company throughout the day, Vincent is a loyal, gentle companion ready to find his forever home—ideally with his best buddy Jimmie by his side. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Toona was rescued from the cold along with an older cat from the same location. When he first arrived, he was a bit shy and unsure, but once he feels safe and comfortable, his playful and energetic personality begins to shine. He has beautiful markings with striking tiger stripes and incredibly soft fur, so distinctive that he could easily be mistaken for an Ocicat.  Toona does well with other cats and would benefit from having a feline companion in the home. Because he can be timid and a little skittish at first, he would do best in a calm household with older, considerate children who understand how to give him time and space to settle in.  Once he warms up, Toona is a gentle, playful boy who enjoys toys and will make a wonderful companion for a patient and loving family.   DNA Results: Breed Analysis We analyzed your cat's genome and compared it to the genomes of purebred cats in our reference panel. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Charlie Girl, is one of the friendliest cats we've ever hosted. A little over 2, she is incredibly sweet and one of the first to approach any visitors to the Cat Shed. She came to us through trapping along with her own kittens - survivors due largely to Charlie's amazing job as a mom. All kittens have long been adopted, but despite her pretty self and winning personality, after months, Charlie still hasn't found her people. Please consider giving this sweet cat the loving home she so deserves! She is very unique as in she has 3 common female types, Tuxedo, Tortie and Calico all in one. Sometimes her tortitude shows but mostly she is very friendly and gets along ok with the other cats.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.    _______________________________________________________________ MCTNR Adoption Process We do have an application process including a vet reference and written landlord permission if you rent.  Home visit may be required.
