Story
We got Spark and her sister Trout from a young lady who didn't realize their Momma was a female. We took them in, and they are the sweetest cats. They are still technically kittens, but are growing fast! They love being picked up, and they are lap cats, so if you're on the couch, be ready for them. They spend most of their time indoors, but do like to go outside and explore. Also, they get along amazingly well with dogs, as you can see in the photo of Spark with our pit bull mix. They are microchipped, spayed, and up to date on their shots. We will provide you with the records. They do very well with their litter box, and they love to eat. Unfortunately, we are moving sooner than we expected and we just cannot take them and two dogs. Please note that Spark and Trout MUST be adopted together. They often sleep together, groom each other, and respond when one is in distress. The adoption fee is $75 per cat so $150 total for the both of them.

Story
Millie was originally found as a stray outside of a bar by a former co-worker of mine. It was the company Christmas party and the bar said that she had been coming around regularly and they would feed her. She took her home and after a year asked if I would like a cat after losing our 11 year old kitty. I have had Millie for 2 years and she is so sweet. She was already spayed when she was found and based on the tattoo on her belly our vet said it was probably from a spay and release program that helped with the cat population down town. She moved here with me from Fayetteville, NC to Maryland in December of 2024. At the time I did not have small children at home but now that I do, she has been aggressive towards them. It was just Millie and I for the longest and I think she is over stimulated by the little ones. They have become scared of her and my fiance has asked me to re-home her. She is very playful, chatty, loves to be on your lap and make biscuits.

Story
Chanel is very affectionate and playful. She sits on your lap, comes when you call, loves playing games with you. She loves being chased. You can pick her up, roll her around, rub her belly, and she will never swipe. She allows baths, being brushed and having her nails cut. Great with kids. Chanel is litter-trained, will also go outside. She has only ever used the wood pellets. Traveled with her internationally and she did fine. When my baby nephew comes to visit, he will grab her fur or pat her head, and she just takes it and wanders around following him everywhere. Korean Shorthairs have personalities that are curious and high-energy and love people. Talkative, like a Siamese. Needs a home that has plenty of space, a family who does not mind her making noise. I socialized her well since she was a kitten. Chanel is really unlike any other cat I have met. She's the absolute sweetest. Cuddly, energetic and clever.

Story
Stripes is in the house! I am about 4 years old. I love my friend Patches! It has been Patches and Stripes for as long as I can remember. It would be great if we could be adopted together. However, since we have been looking for a forever home for a long time now (more than 2 years!), Patches and I have made the tough decision that we can be adopted to separate homes. We are hoping that this, plus our adoption fees being waived thanks to generous sponsors, will increase our chances of success. I am looking for that unique adopter who will love me and take care of me but will not expect a snuggly kitty in return. I am a pseudo scaredy cat. While I still have an instinct to hide when a person walks in the room, now I stop myself and do some stretching. It is very important to stretch before exercising. Also, I am bribable. So, when you want a little attention from me, I will take Churo from your fingers! I would prefer a home with another cat. While another cat in my home can only make life better, and help me come out of my shell, children and dogs are a big ICK. Seriously, cats rule! If you think that you could be that special someone for me, please learn more about me by filling out a no obligation cat adoption application. All of our cats are in foster homes. Please submit an application to start the process today! https://humaneloudoun.org/adopt/cat-adoption-application/

Story
Meet Marley – the Sensational Senior Ginger! 🧡 At 11 years young, Marley is the definition of young at heart. This handsome gentleman has spent his life surrounded by other cats and takes new friends in stride — feline or human. He truly doesn’t know a stranger! Marley is the ultimate lap cat who lives for cuddles and companionship. Whether you’re working, reading, or relaxing, he’ll be right there, purring away and soaking up every bit of affection. He hasn’t met dogs before, but his confident, easygoing nature suggests he could do just fine with a calm, cat-friendly pup after proper introductions. The same goes for gentle kids who know how to show love and respect to a furry friend. Marley may have a few years under his belt, but don’t let that fool you — this golden boy has plenty of love, life, and head bumps left to give. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Charlie Girl, is one of the friendliest cats we've ever hosted. A little over 2, she is incredibly sweet and one of the first to approach any visitors to the Cat Shed. She came to us through trapping along with her own kittens - survivors due largely to Charlie's amazing job as a mom. All kittens have long been adopted, but despite her pretty self and winning personality, after months, Charlie still hasn't found her people. Please consider giving this sweet cat the loving home she so deserves! She is very unique as in she has 3 common female types, Tuxedo, Tortie and Calico all in one. Sometimes her tortitude shows but mostly she is very friendly and gets along ok with the other cats.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.    _______________________________________________________________ MCTNR Adoption Process We do have an application process including a vet reference and written landlord permission if you rent.  Home visit may be required. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Pooh came in as a very young feral kitten, her siblings were adopted soon after. Pooh never really came around and now is still very wild. We tried to keep her contained and work with her but she really needs an outdoor barn situation or someone willing to spend the time needed to make her feel secure and not scared. She prefers the outdoor Catio to the inside area. She tends to stick to herself. She is just so petrified, its so sad. We would love for her to find a place to be comfortable , wherever that may be.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.    _______________________________________________________________ MCTNR Adoption Process We do have an application process including a vet reference and written landlord permission if you rent.  Home visit may be required. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Dennis came in from a challenging TNR location. Many cats were unhealthy and needed some extra care. Dennis was one of those. After many vet visits trying to help his constant sneezing and upper respiratory issues, it was determined that he is allergic or reactive to other cats.   Dennis is so social and loves others cats so this is a heart breaking result for him. Dennis is being kept separate from the other cats. He is so sweet and loves attention. When he has outbreaks, he sneezes, so a small area for him would be easier to manage.         Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.    _______________________________________________________________ MCTNR Adoption Process We do have an application process including a vet reference and written landlord permission if you rent.  Home visit may be required.
