Story
Scottie is a sweet and affectionate 3-year-old cat who was rescued as a kitten. He’s playful, curious, and full of personality. He loves chasing toys, exploring, and especially cuddling, he’ll happily sit on your lap and keep you company. Scottie is very friendly, loves people, and never misses a meal! Due to a human medical condition, we’re no longer able to give him the care he deserves. This has been a difficult decision, and we want to find him a loving, stable home where he’ll get plenty of attention and affection. Scottie would do best with someone who wants a loyal, playful, and cuddly companion. He’s ready to bring warmth, joy, and love into his new home.

Story
Ash was adopted from a shelter when he was about 2 months with his brother Brutus. They are both indoor cats. Although they are not lap cats they are affectionate, welcoming to new people and love to play, be brushed and be close to owner. They do not like to be alone very much and will follow you in each room to ensure that you are "safe". I am heartbroken to have to rehome them and I looked into every possible solution but they need a loving and present family and I cannot offer that anymore. They will make you laugh and fill your life with their purring, furry presence.

Story
Brutus has been adopted when about 2 months old with his brother Ash, who is also up for adoption. Brutus is affectionate and welcoming although he is not a lap cat. He will make you laugh with his weird antics and will follow you asking for pets and treats. He is very playful and loves to be brushes and given attention. He is also a curious eater eager to taste whatever you are eating! Ash and Brutus have always lived together and maybe would be better off adopted together too although from time to time being full indoor cats they let go some steam against each other. They are both loving, cute and funny furry companions who will fill your lives. I am heartbroken to have to let them go.

Story
Stripes is in the house! I am about 4 years old. I love my friend Patches! It has been Patches and Stripes for as long as I can remember. It would be great if we could be adopted together. However, since we have been looking for a forever home for a long time now (more than 2 years!), Patches and I have made the tough decision that we can be adopted to separate homes. We are hoping that this, plus our adoption fees being waived thanks to generous sponsors, will increase our chances of success. I am looking for that unique adopter who will love me and take care of me but will not expect a snuggly kitty in return. I am a pseudo scaredy cat. While I still have an instinct to hide when a person walks in the room, now I stop myself and do some stretching. It is very important to stretch before exercising. Also, I am bribable. So, when you want a little attention from me, I will take Churo from your fingers! I would prefer a home with another cat. While another cat in my home can only make life better, and help me come out of my shell, children and dogs are a big ICK. Seriously, cats rule! If you think that you could be that special someone for me, please learn more about me by filling out a no obligation cat adoption application. All of our cats are in foster homes. Please submit an application to start the process today! https://humaneloudoun.org/adopt/cat-adoption-application/

Story
Meet Eileen – our terrific little tripod with a heart just as big as her story. About a year and a half ago, I was spotted at a local brewery with a badly broken back leg. The kind staff tried to get me help, but I disappeared before anyone could find me. For a long time, no one knew what happened to me… until I made a surprise reappearance this March! This time, some amazing trappers were ready, and they made sure I finally got the help I needed. Unfortunately, my leg couldn’t be saved—but the good news? I don't need it to keep living my best life! And even better… everyone quickly realized I’m not just a survivor, I’m a sweetheart. What started as a “trap, amputate, and return” plan quickly turned into a mission to find me the loving forever home I deserve. Now that I’m safely indoors, I’ve adjusted beautifully. I get around just fine on three legs and am more focused on the important things in life—like perfecting my biscuit-making skills (and taste-testing plenty of snacks… I love my treats!). I’m happy to share my space with other cats and enjoy a peaceful, cozy environment. Because I’m a tripod, I’d do best in a slower-paced home where I can move around comfortably and relax at my own pace. Give me a soft spot to land, some tasty snacks, and a little love, and I’ll be your most loyal companion. I’ve already overcome so much—now I’m just waiting for my happy ending. Could that be with you? Fill out a no obligation cat adoption application today at https://humaneloudoun.org/adopt/cat-adoption-application/

Story
Frank n' Beans is a loving and social senior cat who is ready to be your best bud! Frank is a curious kitty who loves hanging with his humans and is great with meeting new people. He will happily park himself on the rug next to you while you work from home, accompany you into the kitchen to make coffee in the morning, and snooze at your feet at night. He doesn't seem to know how to meow, but he will absolutely let you know when he's ready for pets with some chirps and lots of headbutts! Frank might be on the older side, but he is still up for some playtime once evening rolls around. This sweet boy is ready to give you his heart (in exchange for chin scratches..!).   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. Story
Colter ("Colt") and Ms. Phyllis ("Philly") are an incredibly sweet, bonded pair who share a very special bond. Whether they’re cuddling together, grooming each other, or looking for one another around the room, these two truly love being side by side.   When Philly first arrived in foster care, she was a bit shy and reserved, but now that she’s fully comfortable, she’s shown her true personality and is an absolute sweetheart and love bug. She loves belly rubs, trills to say hello, rubs all over your legs, and happily curls up in your arms for cuddles.   Colt is the more outgoing of the two and immediately makes himself at home. He’s incredibly affectionate, playful, and people-oriented - always wanting to be involved in whatever you’re doing. He loves curling up in your lap, following you around, and soaking up as much attention as possible.   Both Colt and Philly are extremely cuddly cats who just want to always be close to their people. They balance each other perfectly - Colt helps give Philly confidence, while Philly brings out Colt’s softer side. They truly thrive together and would love a forever home where they can stay side by side.   They also do amazing with other animals and have been wonderful with both cats and dogs.   These two are the perfect mix of affectionate, playful, gentle, and easygoing, and whoever adopts them will be getting two built-in best friends.  2026-0626 5/2/2026   Ms Phyllis dsh brown/orange tabby 4/25/2025 f/s 2026-0627 5/2/2026   Colter dmh white/brown 4/25/2025 m/n   Adoption fee includes: first 2 FVRCP vaccines, deworming, flea preventatives, microchip Adoption fee: $350.00/pair   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have.
