Story
We got Wrangler as an 8-week-old Australian Shepherd puppy from a local farm. He is now 8 years old. He is a very sweet, affectionate dog who loves being around people he trusts and enjoys giving kisses. He is gentle with kids, very food-motivated, and wants to be close to his family. Wrangler has developed anxiety over the years, and our current environment triggers him daily. Triggers involve hearing unfamiliar people talking nearby or other dogs barking close by. Despite years of training, veterinary help, and environmental changes, things have progressively worsened. Rehoming is a very sad decision for us, but our hope is to give him a calmer place to live where he can relax and feel secure. We’re looking for a quiet, low-stress home with fewer daily triggers — ideally a peaceful rural or semi-rural environment, or a quieter neighborhood with space. He does well with other dogs in the house, but prefers being close to his humans.
