This beauty is Lexi! She is an approximately 1-year-old, 50-pound stunner with the kind of looks that garner compliments from strangers and passersby. Her gorgeous tri-colored coat and striking blue eyes hint at some Australian Shepherd in her mix — but Lexi is even better than a purebred. She’s a rez dog, made up of many breeds, which often means healthier, sturdier, and wonderfully well-balanced genetics.  Lexi came to us from the Navajo Nation, where she lived alongside many different dogs. She is friendly and social with other dogs and understands how to coexist peacefully in a pack. Because her world has been a bit limited so far, Lexi can be shy in new situations, but don’t mistake that for a lack of love. She has been well cared for and shows it through her sweet, gentle, and devoted nature. Once she feels safe, her affection quietly shines through. Meet Ol' Blue Eyes  Blue Eye's story begins in a grocery store parking lot on the reservation, where his family brought the entire litter in hopes of giving the puppies away. Thankfully, a compassionate good Samaritan stepped in, gathered all the babies, and reached out to the rescue for help. While the family would not give us mama, we did secure a spay appointment so she won’t have to go through another litter. Because of the kindness and quick action of a stranger, Blue Eyes is now safe, thriving, and ready to begin his own bright future. Blue Eye’s Personality & Progress Confident and outgoing: Blue Eyes and his siblings are a joyful, social bunch—there isn’t a shy pup in this litter. Wellcaredfor beginnings: Their original family clearly loved them; they arrived fat, happy, and wonderfully playful. Smart as can be: He already follows his foster mom in and out for potty breaks and comes when he’s called. Great crate habits: At night, he sleeps soundly with his siblings in their comfy wire crate. Carride approved: He’s been on a few rides and handles the car like a pro. Brave and full of zest: Blue Eyes approaches life with enthusiasm, curiosity, and a bold little spirit. Why You’ll Love Him  Blue Eyes is the kind of puppy who makes every day feel a little brighter. He’s playful, peopleoriented, and wonderfully eager to learn.
