Meet Koala!
Koala is a 2-year-old, 25 lb Australian Shepherd/Spaniel mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. This beautiful girl is sweet, loyal, sensitive, and looking for the right person to build a strong bond with.
Koala can be shy when meeting new people and takes a little time to open up, but once she feels safe and comfortable, she becomes affectionate, playful, and deeply devoted to her person. She would love nothing more than to be someone’s loyal little sidekick.
She does well with other dogs and enjoys playing with them, but in a home environment she can show some resource guarding behaviors surrounding her person. Because of this, Koala is looking for confident, experienced adopters—preferably with rescue dog or working breed experience—who understand boundaries, structure, and behavior management and can continue helping her work through those tendencies in a positive, consistent way.
As she settles in and gains confidence, Koala’s playful and energetic personality starts to shine through. She’s smart, observant, and forms strong attachments to the people she trusts most.
Koala is looking for a patient, understanding home that will give her the guidance, leadership, and security she needs to thrive. In return, she’ll be an incredibly loyal and loving companion.
If you’re experienced with sensitive, intelligent dogs and looking for a devoted little best friend, Koala might just be your perfect match!
Koala is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.
