Chica is a 50–55 lb, approximately 6-year-old Shepherd mix who is more than ready to find the family she’s been waiting for. Chica is a happy, active girl who would love a family that enjoys walks, hikes, or outdoor adventures. Once she’s had some exercise, she’s perfectly content to relax and lounge with her people. A securely fenced yard where she can run, play, and soak up the sunshine would be a dream come true for her. It’s clear Chica was once someone’s beloved companion. She knows several basic commands—including “shake!”—and is incredibly smart, attentive, and eager to please. She’s well-mannered, enjoys spending time with her people, and even sits patiently for baths and the blow dryer! Chica can be leash-reactive around other dogs, so she’ll do best with an experienced adopter who understands dog behavior and is committed to continuing her training. She has made wonderful progress with us and continues to improve every day. While she prefers to be the only dog in the home, she is able to walk around other dogs successfully with proper handling. Chica is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $350.
