Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Koda, a 3-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound who didn’t have the easiest start, and you can see some of his story in the character of his nose and permanent head tilt. But don’t let that fool you—it doesn’t slow him down or affect his happiness one bit! Koda is resilient, joyful, and more than ready for the happy ending he deserves. ❤️ Koda is truly just a really good boy. He is sweet, affectionate, and loves attention. He enjoys the company of other dogs, but he’s also perfectly content to relax and be wonderfully chill. Whether he’s hanging out with his canine friends or soaking up one-on-one love, Koda is happiest when he’s with his people. And, of course, Koda is a hound—which means he comes with a big, beautiful voice! His bark makes an appearance when he gets excited, and it’s just part of his charming hound personality. He also takes to training easily and is eager to learn, making him a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys helping a dog continue to grow and thrive. After all Koda has overcome, he deserves a family who will see what a special boy he is and give him the love, patience, and forever home he’s been waiting for. He has so much love to give, and we know his happily ever after is out there.  Thank you for checking out our wonderful orphans. PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.8/12/26 WAIVED ADOPTION FEE! Lewis needs some SHARES!! He can’t stay in rescue forever and he’s holding up a spot for others in need. Please note he is NOT a senior! He is only 5 1/2 years old. He was originally adopted from us as a puppy so we know his age. He just got a gray face faster than some. Lewis is a mix of many breeds and weighs about 40 pounds. His previous owners did a DNA test. Unfortunately they only sent us 1 picture with the results which didn’t show all the breeds but it did show treeing Walker Hound, American Foxhound, Plott Hound, Toy Fox Terrier, Bassett Hound, and Parson Russell Terrier. He is very mixed.   He is a happy go lucky dude who is playful and energetic, but can also calm down quickly. Lewis’s favorite past times are lounging on the couch or in a dog bed with a fluffy blanket, chewing on a dog toy, and playing with his foster siblings (dogs). He is good with other dogs, cats and kids, crate and house trained. He’s doing well with his leash manners and very much enjoys going for walks! If you’re looking for a lovable, happy, semi -playful pup who just wants to cuddle and play with toys, Lewis is your guy. Don’t miss out! We also have a few videos of him and more pictures, this site only lets us put 4 pictures. Story
The best relationships are built on trust, patience, love, and the quiet decision to keep showing up for one another. Crumb is looking for that kind of connection—the kind where someone understands that the greatest bonds are often the ones worth waiting for. Crumb is a deeply sweet, gentle girl who’s learning that the world can be a safe and happy place. Naturally shy with new people and unfamiliar situations, she takes a little time to warm up. She’s also naturally submissive, preferring to avoid conflict and take her cues from those around her. But once she trusts you, you’ll discover a loving, sensitive companion with the sweetest heart. One thing is certain: Crumb absolutely adores other dogs. They are her comfort, her confidence, and her favorite companions. She is wonderful with dogs of all sizes and truly thrives in their company. Having a friendly, confident canine buddy helps her feel secure enough to let her playful personality shine. Whether she’s playing, chewing on her favorite toys, or simply relaxing alongside her dog friends, Crumb is happiest when she’s part of the pack. Every day, Crumb grows a little braver. She’s becoming more comfortable with visitors in her foster home, settling in more quickly and showing increasing curiosity instead of fear. She’s also making wonderful progress on leash walks, especially in quieter areas, and continues to surprise her foster family with just how much she’s blossoming. She’s the kind of dog who makes you celebrate every small victory—a tail wag, a curious sniff, choosing to come closer—because each one represents a huge step forward. While Crumb is believed to be a coonhound mix, she’s actually smaller than your average coonhound, making her a wonderful medium-sized companion. Crumb is looking for a calm, patient home that understands confidence and trust can’t be rushed. A friendly resident dog is essential, as she relies on canine companionship for reassurance and guidance. She would do best in a quieter environment rather than busy city living, with older, respectful children if there are kids in the home. A securely fenced yard would be a huge bonus, and while experience with shy or undersocialized dogs is helpful, what matters most is a family willing to offer kindness, consistency, and unconditional love. Crumb may never be the dog who rushes up to greet every stranger, but for the person willing to earn her trust, the relationship you’ll build will be incredibly special. She reminds us that love doesn’t always happen instantly—sometimes the most beautiful bonds are built one patient moment at a time. And the best part? Crumb is already trying. She wants to trust. She wants to love. She’s simply waiting for the person who will meet her where she is and help her discover just how wonderful life can be. Her foster and our rescue will also happily provide guidance and support after adoption to help her continue thriving in her new home. Crumb is fostered in Reading (Berks County), Pennsylvania and is ready to find her forever family. www.mostlymuttz.org Link to Crumb’s bio: https://www.wagtopia.com/search/pet?id=2599114&name=Crumb Meet Me Program: Dogs featured in our Meet Me Program are participating simply because their foster or a dedicated volunteer is willing and able to take part—this is not based on breed, personality, behavior, or how long a dog has been waiting for a home. Because Mostly Muttz Rescue does not have a physical shelter location, this program allows adopters to connect directly with the people who know each dog best. It’s a great opportunity to ask questions, learn more about daily life with the dog, and even schedule an individual meet & greet at an approved location—either before applying or while your application is pending. To get started, email meet_me@mostlymuttz.org with your contact information, and the dog’s foster or volunteer will be in touch. #mostlymuttzrescue #adoptable #shybutworthit ##2599114##

Story
Meet Chance: Chance is about a 3 year old (as of July 2026) beagle / corgi mix (best guess) that weighs about 25 pounds. Chance was in a group of dogs taken in by animal control in Brownsville, TN. The owner got sick and sadly passed away, leaving multiple unaltered dogs behind that had been living together. Luckily they are now safe in rescue and being cared for. Chance is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Chance is a nice dog that is a great size. Chance is currently house trained to a doggie door and may need patience while adjusting to a new process. We would love for Chance to have a home with a fenced in yard so he can roam and play freely. Chance is up to date on his shots and neutered. If you are interested in adding this sweet man into your life, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application.
