Story
Adoptable Winston Winston is an 11 month old, 33 pound cutie who loves chasing tennis balls & birds & chewing Nylabones & tug toys. He is a happy, confident & cute little guy with a great personality. He loves to snuggle & gives gentle kisses. Winston is still a puppy & will need a family willing to continue working with him on basic manners, commands, chewing and digging. Winston is sometimes nervous when meeting new people & children, but when given proper space he warms up & becomes your best friend in no time. Winston has been working hard to overcome his crate anxiety,  since coming into rescue has been his first experience with training. He has shown improvement since being with his foster family and given time, security and consistency, Winston will continue to improve. Winston loves his foster dog brothers & they all play very well together. Winston also does well with his foster cat brothers & shows normal interest in them. Winston is dearly loved by his foster family & will make another family incredibly happy. He would love to have a family willing to spend lots of time with him. He's a great shopper at Lowe's & Home Depot and is up for any other trip you're willing to take him on!! Winston is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and is on monthly prevention for an adoption fee of $450. We know he will bring such joy to someone willing to give him a bit of time to continue to learn how to be the best boy he can be!  https://form.jotform.com/fairytailsrescuemd/dogpuppy-adoption-applicationJanuary 8, 2025, 10:38 pm

Story
Hiya! I`m Shelby, the shelter`s resident goofball. I`ve got a thing for stuffies - they`re like my personal entourage. Treats? Oh boy, do I love `em! But enough about me, let me tell you how I ended up here. One day, I saw a squirrel in the park. `A new friend!` I thought, and off I went. Well, I lost the squirrel but found myself at the shelter. They`re nice here, but I miss having a stuffie entourage. So, here`s the deal: You adopt me, I bring the fun and the stuffies. Sounds like a win-win, right?

Story
Are you ready for a new, loyal best friend? Olive is your girl! She’s a 12-year-old Beagle who is happy, active, and loves to be around people and other dogs. Olive arrived at FLFO weighing 61 pounds. Her owner surrendered her because they said she wasn’t eating and could no longer get up on her own. Well, no wonder! She was 20 pounds overweight! And we have never seen Olive turn down a meal. In fact, one of her favorite pastimes is to graze the back yard for bunny droppings! Olive loves to take hikes in the park and walks through the neighborhood. She’s lost 14 pounds so far and it brought back her vitality. Olive has no health issues. Olive is looking for a home who will continue with her weight loss journey by providing her with healthy meals and lots of exercise. She also would love to have a canine friend to play with but not necessary. Olive knows sit and up (beg), walks nicely on a leash, and gives gentle kisses. She could use a little work on her treat taking skills, however. She’s very exuberant about her food! Because she can be protective of anything she thinks is food, we do not recommend Olive around small children. FLFO requires a home visit therefore adopters must be within 40 miles of Baldwin MD.

Please contact Denise at 610-656-1291 (Fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in New Castle, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 610-656-1291 (text or call) or via email at fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 January 17, 2025, 2:13 pm
