He's a sweet boy who loves attention and isn't picky about who's giving it. He loves water, treats a bath like a spa day, and if you scratch him for more than five seconds he'll consider that the start of a lasting friendship. He was emaciated when he came in and is filling out nicely now, though he wouldn't turn down some help on the last ten pounds. He walks well on a leash and gets along just fine with the other dogs in his foster home. Riley tested heartworm positive. He'll need treatment fbefore he's ready to be adopted, but he's otherwise doing great and getting stronger every day. Silver was found pregnant and starving at a gas station in Cement, OK by a kind stranger who couldn't just walk away. Ten days after being brought home, she had her litter of seven. She's a Treeing Walker Coonhound, spayed and settling into her second chance with her foster family. Silver's a total goofball with a whole lot of love to give- she's adjusting well, rides great in the car, and has already won over everyone she's met. She's currently being treated for heartworms, and once she's finished treatment, she'll be ready for her forever home. Otis is a Treeing Walker Coonhound mix who has quietly become one of the most well-rounded dogs ever fostered- and it shows in every part of his day to day. He's kid friendly, dog friendly, and genuinely easygoing- he's never met a person or dog he didn't like. He's just as happy on an adventure as he is curled up on the couch, and he's turned into a regular at coffee shop patios, where he lies down and waits patiently for someone to come say hi. Otis is house trained, crate trained, and already knows an e-collar- he responds to the beep by heading straight to your feet and settling into a heel. He's a quick learner, motivated by food and toys, and picks up new skills fast- he took to scent work almost instantly the first time he tried it. He also loves a good game of tug or fetch. He needs a secure fence, a sturdy crate, and an active family. He does best in a cat-free home, or with a cat confident enough to put him in his place.
