Meet Calamity- a Treeing Walker Coonhound mama ready for her turn to be the baby. This girl came from a hard situation. She was confined in a metal toolbox in the sun without food or water, and a chain left on so long it became embedded in her waist. Her owner made it clear he wanted nothing to do with her- he wasn't willing to give her the care or the second chance she deserved, so she needs us to find her the home he never gave her. She recently finished raising a litter of puppies, who have all found their own homes, and now it's her turn to just be a dog and get all the attention for herself. She wants to be near her person at all times and will happily curl up on the couch with you for hours. She's pretty easygoing- good with other dogs, curious and gentle with cats, and has been wonderful with kids of all ages.
