Gerald is a gentle, lanky boy who starts out a little timid, but once he knows you’re safe, he becomes your best friend. He was found by his foster family after it looked like he was dumped on their property. After trying to find who he belonged to with no luck, it was apparent someone else’s so called trash, is now a treasure! He will put his head in your hand and look at you with pure adoration. Like he truly is thankful to not be lost anymore. He loves playing with other dogs once he’s comfortable and enjoys relaxing on his bed for little naps throughout the day. He is also great with children and will make sure to follow them everywhere. He’s a big fan of walks and sniffing all the fun scents in the air. Gerald is a soft, loving boy that deserves the very best home. **This dog is heartworm positive and will be treated by the rescue and will be available for foster to adopt for a local family in or near Charleston, SC that is comfortable with the restriction requirements for the duration of treatment. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an application. We do allow out of state adoptions and any transport costs are at the expense of the adopter. Meet Boomer (also lovingly known as Buddy!) 💛 Buddy has been thriving in his foster home, but he’s still waiting for someone to adopt him, and we can’t understand why! He’s approximately 4/5 years old, 70lbs, and would make the perfect companion. Boomer loves a cozy couch, quiet walks, sunbathing, and being near his people. He walks beautifully on leash, gets along great with other dogs AND cats, and can be left alone without barking or howling (a worry a lot of hound lovers have!). He’s a quiet fella 🤗 Buddy loves playing with his foster siblings outside and would love a yard, although that’s not a requirement! If walking is more your thing, he loves that too! Buddy is great in the car and loves visiting the beach 💙 Buddy has spent the last year of his life in foster care learning how to be a dog after being exclusively used as a hunting dog and living his whole life in a cage 🥺❤️‍🩹 He’s gentle, affectionate, and ready for a home that will keep showing him the love he deserves. His foster mom loves him very much and is happy to answer any questions potential adopters may have about him ❤️ When asked about Buddy, she said “He’s the best!!!!” 🥰 The only reason she is not making Buddy a permanent part of her family is because she already has a house full of kitties and doggies AND because she believes in rescue and loves to foster ❤️‍🩹

Hank is a brown and white, male, hound mix. He is current on all of his age appropriate vaccinations, has been neutered, but tested positive for heartworms. Hank will need to continue heartworm treatment once adopted. He does not let having heartworms slow him down. Hank is a very friendly and sweet dog that loves attention! Hank is great on a leash and loves going for walks! Hank is very sweet and would make a great addition to your family!
