UPDATE: Mack has recently been placed in a foster home and is doing well. Stay tuned for more information as he settles into his new digs! Meet Mack! Mack is a young, male Treeing Walker Coonhound estimated to be around 2 years old, and he’s a big, handsome guy at about 70 pounds. Athletic, strong, and strikingly good-looking, Mack definitely turns heads — but it’s his heart that really steals the show. Out of his kennel, Big Mack quickly turns into a Big Marshmallow. He’s a gentle giant who loves being close to his people and soaking up affection. Mack is incredibly sweet, people-friendly, and dog-friendly, and it’s clear he’s truly craving love and connection. Those wet, sloppy kisses say it all — this boy just wants to be loved. Mack may pull a bit when first coming out of his kennel, but he settles nicely and enjoys being with you. He has the athleticism and strength typical of his breed, paired with a soft, affectionate nature that makes him a wonderful companion. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, gentle giant who’s equal parts handsome and heartfelt, Mack could be your perfect match. He’s ready to give his whole heart to a family who will give him the love he’s been waiting for. I'm shy at first but will warm up quickly if you give me some yummy chicken. Cars and new sounds can be a little scary for me too, so I'll need someone to help introduce me to new things and show me all the great things in life! My favorite thing to do is play soccer - kick the ball for me and watch me (and my ears) bounce with excitement! I also love sniffing and exploring the trails here at FOHA. Because I'm still learning how to be confident in a world of uncertainty, I will do best in a home without children.
