Story
Current Location: Bristow. VA Meet Trixie - The Sweet and Affectionate Treeing Walker Coonhound! < Hello! My name is Trixie! I have an endearing personality and antics that will make you smile. I love new people and want to be everyone's friend. Personality: I love playing with other dogs and I consider everyone-human and canine-my friend. Play dates and trips to the dog park are the best! It is hard for me to contain my excitement and I jump up for greetings. I have so much love to share. I’m not a big barker but I will join in with my foster brother or bark to let you know i need something. I sleep quietly in my crate at night after a full day. Skills and Training: I am perfectly house trained and am getting the leash thing down pretty good by following simple commands and getting treats. Companionship: If you’re looking for a sweet and affectionate companion, I’m the one for you! I’ll bring warmth, joy, and loyalty to your home. I do best with siblings to keep me active, or with active adopters. Energy Level: I have a good amount of energy and need plenty of physical and mental exercise to stay happy and healthy. I love treats and will sit and shake for some! I’m still learning to be my best, so I need someone who is patient and willing to help me continue to grow and learn.

Having lived life on a chain, Harry Neil is now enjoying romping in a fenced yard, interacting with other dogs in his foster home and soaking up all the attention. Harry is kind and quiet and surpisingly petite! The mass on his face is a damaged salivary gland. Nothing can be done for it but it does not hurt or bother him. Henry is looking for a compassionate family who understands that he missed out on a lot of things while pursing a career in hunting. He will need extra support with house training and basic manners. Henry Neil deserves a comfy home with a wonderful family to enjoy the rest of his life! He'll pay you in kindness and gratitude.(We do not recommend hunting hounds for homes with cats.)A reduced adoption fee of $100 does apply for Harry Neil, our seniors, special medical and behavioral needs dogs and other 'slow to adopt' dogs!Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries. Story
https://foha.org/pet/ozzy2021/ Howdy! I'm Ozzy! I'm a handsome boy who is getting to know the world. A lot can be scary for a dog like me who hasn't had a lot of experiences in the real world. I'm shy at first but will warm up quickly if you give me some yummy chicken. Cars and new sounds can be a little scary for me too, so I'll need someone to help introduce me to new things and show me all the great things in life! My favorite thing to do is play soccer - kick the ball for me and watch me (and my ears) bounce with excitement! I also love sniffing and exploring the trails here at FOHA. Because I'm still learning how to be confident in a world of uncertainty, I will do best in a home without children. If you'd like to get to know me a little better, submit an application and we can set up a time to meet. Hope to see you soon!! Check out all the dogs available at Friends of Homeless Animals! https://foha.org/pet-adoption/find-a-dog/
