Story
Ube is a gentle and shy Weimaraner mix puppy who is leaning to trust the world more and more each day. She’s still a little nervous around humans, but she’s playful with dogs and would be a great fit for a home with another dog, though it’s not a requirement. She seems to be house-trained and is learning to walk on leash, so a yard would be helpful. (Again, not a requirement.) With dedication and patience, she’ll continue to blossom into a sweet companion. If you’d like to meet her, please fill out a questionnaire and a volunteer will contact you. (NS) We estimate that Ube will be between 60 and 75 pounds when fully grown, no guarantees

Story
How it started: Meet Colin, a 1yr old gentle sweet boy. As a puppy he got lost in the system, altered and vaxed, but never got to adoption events so he never has had the chance to be in a home with a family. He and his siblings were dropped off at the shelter and were set to be euthanized, but luckily he was saved. Now he’s ready to learn how to be a dog, how to get snuggles and how to be a loyal, loving companion to your family for life. More on Colin: Colin originally came from California so he is bi-coastal. He fits in any and everywhere. What a lovely boy Colin is in every sense of the word. He was a house dog and lost his home like so many others. He is house-trained and once followed his master around the house helping her in daily activities. That was his job that he did so willingly, so gently. Colin is very dog friendly and loves to go on nature walks. He is very easy on the leash. A perfect boy who enjoys all forms of training...what we call in the dog world - "a huge will-to-please" - a dog trainer's and a dog lover's delight! Give us a call today and find out more about this sweet boy that we all love so much. Ask about the Reunion Rescue holistic plan which comes with every dog and our foster-to-adopt program.

Story
Meet Bonnie (9, turning 10 in FEB). Rescued in Colorado Springs in 2020, she’s been my loyal, gentle companion ever since. With a new baby at home, I have to make the heartbreaking decision to rehome her. Bonnie is incredibly well-behaved, low-maintenance, and loves nothing more than a soft bed and gentle attention.Gentle with everyone. She’s never shown aggression or snapping. Great with kids, calm and tolerant. She very Chill and relaxed not hyper, not destructive. She’s a “nap by your feet while you work” kind of dog. Can be Shy at first, she warms up in her own time (usually 1–2 calm meetings). Once she trusts you, she’s loyal and sweet. No constant barking, no separation anxiety she handles alone time fine.Im rehoming Bonnie because I have a new born, and after trying everything I can’t give Bonnie the attention she deserves. She’s done nothing wrong, entirely my situation.

Courtesy Post – Piperoni is currently in Davis, CA. Contact Shannon at 530-400-7083 or email adopt@yoloshelter.org to learn more or arrange a meet-and-greet. Looking for a loyal and cuddly companion? Piperoni is a 6.5-year-old hound mix (Weimaraner, American Foxhound, and Treeing Walker Coonhound) who’s ready to be your adorable sidekick. With her sleek black coat, soft hound ears, and bright personality, Piperoni is a loving, people-focused dog who just wants to spend time with her person, whether it’s on neighborhood walks or keeping vermin away while you’re gardening. She’s silly, smart, and will greet you with a big smile (or a soft stuffy in her mouth). She’s currently living with a temporary foster in Davis and would thrive in a forever home as a solo pet with a secure yard and someone who enjoys her company and affectionate, silly vibes.
