Hello! I would love to introduce myself. My name is Wolfy. I came with three of my litter mates. I am a friendly little pup. I was rescued from Camden, South Carolina. Pawsitive Possibilities Rescue, Inc., rescued me and I am looking for my forever home, that is willing to add to my being. I am a young pup and love to play with others or be myself with a toy! When I'm done playing, I like to snuggle and be held. I love being with other dogs. If you want to make me part of your new furry family please go to www.pawsitiverescue.org to apply today!

Story
Meet Blaze — a big, beautiful boy with an even bigger heart. Blaze is an 88-pound Weimaraner–American Bulldog mix who was surrendered simply for being “too big.” At just over a year old, he’s still very much a youngster, and he’s carrying around a whole lot of love he hasn’t quite figured out how to share yet. Here at the shelter, Blaze is scared and unsure, and it’s clear the world hasn’t given him much guidance so far. But the moment he feels safe, he leans in with a sweetness that makes you want to wrap your arms around him and tell him everything’s going to be okay. He hasn’t been socialized with other dogs, so he’s hoping for a home where he can be your one and only while he learns about life at a gentler pace. Blaze may be hefty, but inside he’s just a sensitive soul looking for someone who will see past his size and notice the worried, hopeful pup underneath. With patience, kindness, and a steady routine, this boy is going to shine. If you’re ready to help a scared but wonderfully loving dog find his confidence—and his person—Blaze will be waiting with soft eyes and a heart full of potential. *Reminder* We are currently facilitating adoptions through appointment only. If you arrive at the shelter without an appointment to meet a dog, we may not be able to assist you. Please call the shelter (516-869-6311) during working hours (Mon. to Fri. 9AM-4PM; Sat. 10AM-4PM) for more information about this dog, the adoption process at the shelter, and to confirm availability. Please go to www.theshelterconnection.org for more information about and directions to the shelter.

Story
Meet Hilux - Three Legs. Endless Love. One Incredible Survivor. Some dogs let their past define them. Hilux refuses to. Hilux came to us through the Soi Dog Foundation, where her journey began after she was found following a devastating road traffic accident. She suffered severe injuries, including brain trauma and damage to her left front leg. Despite every effort to save it, the leg couldn't be restored, and it was amputated. But if you think Hilux lets that slow her down... think again. Today, Hilux is a happy, friendly, and confident girl who has embraced life with all three legs! Like many rescue dogs, Hilux can be a little unsure around new people at first and isn't a fan of busy traffic, but with patience and reassurance, her sweet personality shines through. She may not care much for toys, but what she does love is discovering new places, making friends, and soaking up affection from the people she trusts. She enjoys exploring the outdoors, and gets along well with the other dogs around her. Hilux doesn't see herself as different. She doesn't count her legs. She counts the adventures she still has ahead of her. Now all she needs is a family willing to look beyond what's missing and see everything that's still there: resilience, joy, courage, and a heart overflowing with love. Could you be the one to give this amazing survivor the forever home she's waited so long for? Apply to adopt today!

Story
Sammy is a sweet, fun-loving puppy with an irresistible puppy face and adorable touches of white on his chin, chest and paws. He loves to play and has plenty of puppy energy, but can be a little intimidated by very rambunctious dogs, so a friendly, calmer canine companion could be a great match. Sammy is also quite the “singer,” especially when it’s pen time! He’s working on crate and potty training and understands the concept, but still needs some practice. Sammy is a playful, affectionate little guy who is ready to find his family.
