This sweet young English Pointer mix (and yes, her name is Birdie for a reason!) is as lovable as she is playful. Weighing in at 38 pounds, Birdie is already potty trained, crate trained, active and healthy. She’s a fetch enthusiast and will happily chase after anything you throw—though she’s still working on bringing it back every time! She's great on a leash and can entertain herself for hours in a fenced yard. Birdie is a social butterfly who gets along great with other dogs, whether big or small. She warms up to everyone very quickly, especially when she realizes you're her new best friend. She would also be great with older kids. Birdie is smart, affectionate, and sweet. She’s got a laid-back side too — if you let her, she’d happily curl up next to you for hours. This brave little pup was found on Christmas Eve on a cold and rainy night in Texas. She was found abandoned by a boat with fireworks going off nearby. She was so scared that she jumped right into her foster’s EV, ready to find safety and love! FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to Calliope! She is an energetic and playful girl who is ready for her forever home! Calliope is a Pointer/Labrador Retriever mix, she weighs around 60 lbs and is around 2 years old. Calliope is very active, and she will need a family that can keep her properly exercised. Hiking, walks/runs, and a large, securely fenced yard to run would be ideal for her. She is very sweet but can get over excited and will need continuation of basic obedience as well as leash manners and working on not jumping when excited. Because she is large and jumpy, we are recommending no small children as she could accidently knock them over. Calliope is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $450.

Marvin is a sweet and noble dog, 1.5 years old and 30 pounds. He was hanging around the shelter for a couple of weeks, he was given food, water and some love, but we decided to take him in when he arrived really injured and covered in blood, we think he was attacked by dogs. Fortunately in his medical checkup he didn't come out with many problems, and he is now healthy and ready for his new home! He knows how to coexist with other dogs, although he has his temper, he is usually very tolerant with effusive puppies. He likes to sleep in his giant bed, is crate-trained, house-trained and is sociable and friendly with new people. He knows how to ride in a car, and smiles when you scold him, he is adorable! We don't know exactly what breed he is, google lens finds a resemblance to an English Pointer and Andalusian ratter. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

When I was born, I assure you I didn't want to grow up to be left in a high kill shelter, however, that is what happened to me. LUCKILY, the fates (and some awesome rescue folks) aligned and saved me from certain death and brought me to a safe place where I can find a REAL family and a REAL home. Animal Profile: Marley is a 4-year-old, 60 lb neutered male mixed breed (DNA test showed German Shorthaired Pointer, Lab, Pitbull). He came to us as a puppy and was adopted but returned several years later due to anxiety around the young toddler in the home. Marley is friendly with other dogs, has lived without issues with cats, and is a loyal companion to his people. He is discerning with new people but not reactive. He is nervous with small children who don't respect his space. He is house-trained, crate-trained and has good basic obedience training.
