Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to Calliope! She is an energetic and playful girl who is ready for her forever home! Calliope is a Pointer/Labrador Retriever mix, she weighs around 60 lbs and is around 2 years old. Calliope is very active, and she will need a family that can keep her properly exercised. Hiking, walks/runs, and a large, securely fenced yard to run would be ideal for her. She is very sweet but can get over excited and will need continuation of basic obedience as well as leash manners and working on not jumping when excited. Because she is large and jumpy, we are recommending no small children as she could accidently knock them over. Calliope is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $450.

Story
Marvin is a sweet and noble dog, 1.5 years old and 30 pounds. He was hanging around the shelter for a couple of weeks, he was given food, water and some love, but we decided to take him in when he arrived really injured and covered in blood, we think he was attacked by dogs. Fortunately in his medical checkup he didn't come out with many problems, and he is now healthy and ready for his new home! He knows how to coexist with other dogs, although he has his temper, he is usually very tolerant with effusive puppies. He likes to sleep in his giant bed, is crate-trained, house-trained and is sociable and friendly with new people. He knows how to ride in a car, and smiles when you scold him, he is adorable! We don't know exactly what breed he is, google lens finds a resemblance to an English Pointer and Andalusian ratter. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Story
Hi, I'm Hutch--a gentle soul with a sneaky streak! I'm shy at first, especially around big dogs, but once I warm up, I'm playful and curious. I love cuddles, short walks, and playing with dogs my size. I live with cats (I ignore them) and spend my days moving between the house and the yard. I'm house-trained, know basic commands, and walk great on a leash. I'll steal your socks just to hide them (don't worry--I give them back). If you're patient, kind, and enjoy quiet company with a side of mischief, I'm your guy! This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. Story
Hi, I'm Nikki! I'm the perfect age to bring fun and love into your home. I still have plenty of playful energy - I love running, playing, and trips to the beach - but I also know when it's time to be calm, cuddly, and sweet. I get along well with other dogs and would love a canine friend, though cats aren't really my thing. Kids are great too, especially older ones, but sometimes I get excited and jump up. My dream home would be with an active family that enjoys walks, runs, or beach days. Afterward, I'll happily snuggle up with you. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. We will share more as we get to know him in foster care.  Adopter Profile: Other dogs OK (not required) Cats OK Dog-savvy older kids considered Fenced yard preferred Large breed experience  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.  Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: This dog was rescued from Texas as a puppy and adopted after a short stint in foster care. WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌸🐾 Meet Carli — Calm, Confident, and Full of Heart 🐾🌸 2 Years Old • 35 lbs • Schnauzer/Terrier Mix • Spayed Carli is the kind of dog who walks into a room and immediately makes everything feel a little more peaceful. At 2 years old and 35 pounds, she’s the perfect medium-sized companion with a calm, confident personality and a heart that’s always open for her people. Carli absolutely adores humans of all sizes — kids, adults, visitors, you name it. She loves being part of the family and has a gentle, steady presence that makes her a joy to live with. She’s affectionate without being demanding and always seems to know when it’s time for a walk… and when it’s time to relax. 🐶 Carli’s “Just Right” Qualities: ✔️ Housebroken and crate trained ✔️ Dog-door savvy (she’s very independent like that) ✔️ Walks beautifully on a leash ✔️ Calm, easygoing, and well-mannered ✔️ Up-to-date on vaccines and spayed When it comes to canine friends, Carli prefers dogs her size or larger (35 lbs and up). She can be a little bossy with smaller pups — think “loving middle manager,” not troublemaker 😄 — but with appropriately matched dog buddies, she does great. She’d also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only, soaking up all the love herself. Carli enjoys her walks and fresh air, but she’s not a whirlwind of energy. Her ideal day includes a nice stroll, some quality time with her people, and then relaxing at home, preferably somewhere cozy where she can keep an eye on things. If you’re looking for a sweet, steady, and loving companion who brings warmth, calm, and just a touch of sass to your life, Carli might be the missing piece you didn’t know you needed. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Carli show you just how comforting the right dog can be 🐾💕

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Meet Stella – Professional Snuggler, Part-Time Blanket Thief 🤍🐾 10 years young • 50 lbs • German Shorthair Pointer If you’re looking for a dog who believes personal space is optional and companionship is mandatory, allow us to introduce the one and only Stella. At 10 years old, Stella is proof that age is just a number. This gorgeous German Shorthair Pointer still has pep in her step, joy in her heart, and enough enthusiasm to power a small village. She’s the perfect medium-sized best friend — big enough for adventures, small enough to fit nicely on your couch (or directly on top of you). Stella’s life motto is simple: “Wherever you go, I go.” Need a walking buddy? She’s ready. Going for a car ride? Shotgun is her seat. Just trying to sit on the couch? Perfect — she’ll be there in 0.3 seconds. She is what we lovingly call a Grade-A Velcro Dog. If loyalty were an Olympic sport, Stella would have a gold medal, a parade, and her face on a cereal box. Her adorable highlights: • House trained (no indoor oopsies!) • Crate trained like a champ • Walks nicely on a leash • Wonderful with other dogs • Loves every human she’s ever met • Expert-level cuddler • Olympic gold medalist in burrowing under blankets Speaking of blankets… Stella takes her snuggle game VERY seriously. She doesn’t just sleep under covers — she disappears into them like a cozy little pointer burrito. If you’ve ever wanted a dog-shaped heating pad for your feet, congratulations, she’s your girl. Being a classic GSP, Stella does have a natural prey drive, so she’s not a match for homes with cats. She can also have a touch of anxiety, which really just means she thrives with someone who’s home often and enjoys having a devoted shadow. (Good luck going to the bathroom alone ever again.) Stella was surrendered through no fault of her own when her previous family didn’t have the time she deserves. Now she’s ready for a fresh start — with people who will love her, include her, and appreciate just how special she is. What she’s dreaming of: • A home where she can be part of the daily routine • A comfy couch and plenty of blankets • Walks, love, and more love • A human who appreciates a dog that sticks to them like glue If you’re a fan of the GSP breed and want a sweet, affectionate, loyal best friend who will happily follow you to the ends of the earth (or at least to the fridge), Stella is ready to audition for the role. Fill out her adoption application and give her the second chance she deserves. She promises to repay you in kisses, cuddles, and lifetime loyalty. 💛🐾
