He arrived at the Humane Society with seven other puppies, and now his last sibling has been adopted, leaving Harley still hoping his turn will come.This sweet Whippet/Rat Terrier mix weighs just 18 pounds, but his heart is enormous. Harley adores people and would be the most loving, loyal guy you’ve ever met.After waiting so long, Harley deserves to know what it feels like to have a family of his own. Hi, I'm Belle. Like a Southern Belle :) I was living on the streets until somebody took my picture one day without my permission... RUDE! They posted my picture on Facebook and animal control picked me up the next day. From there I made my way to a foster home with The Rescue House, where I am learning what its like to be loved and cared for properly.  I am receiving medicated baths 2 times a week for my dermatitis (Don't worry, my hair is growing in nicely)! I also have some large mammary tumors that will need to be removed at the same time they spay me. I wish my previous hoomans had me spayed so I wouldn't have mammary tumors... They are quite uncomfortable. My teeth are rotten and they say they are going to steal some of them from me too. I hope that makes me feel better!!! I am available to be fostered or adopted during my surgery and recovery period. I am looking for a home with someone that will let me cuddle them and let me chew on my toys. I do have a good amount of energy for a "senior dog." I can run fast and play hard.  I am estimated to be around 8 years old, so I have plenty of life ahead of me. I could be a whippet mix, but since I am a rescue dog they say they don't really know.  Please let me live with you FURever! Meet Moa! Moa is a gorgeous 4-year-old Whippet/German Shepherd mix who weighs about 35 lbs. Born on August 12, 2021, she’s the perfect blend of smarts, sweetness, and personality. Moa is friendly, intelligent, and eager to please. She’s quickly learning her manners, obedience, crate training, and housebreaking. Truly, she’s personality wrapped up in fur! Her start to life wasn’t easy—Moa was found as a stray alongside her mom and siblings. Thankfully, her devoted mama kept them safe until they all made it to the rescue. Now Moa is thriving and ready for her forever family. This girl is good with other dogs and kids but NO cats. She is spayed, heartworm negative, fully vaccinated and dewormed. Her adoption fee is $250.June 20, 2026, 10:20 pm

We adopted Val from the Walker County Animal shelter in February 2026. The vet (and shelter) estimated her age to be just over 1yr or so. She is a very sweet dog and gets along well with our 9yr old pit bull/black lab mix. She has a very sweet personality overall, but we have a cattle farm and she goes crazy trying to get after the cows. She has stampeded the cows nearly through the fence more times than I can count, so weonly take her out on a leash or put her on a 25ft runner we putin the front yard so she can get some outside time, but she loves to run and play and we just can't afford to let her do that since she gets after the cows so bad. It's becoming a hazard for her as well since she keeps getting cut up on the barbwire fences. We just want someone who willlove her to get her!
