Hello! My name is Kolo, and I'm an energetic 4-year-old Indian pariah dog. I was rescued from the streets of India as a puppy and got adopted in New Jersey. Sadly, my family is not able to care for me any longer so I'm looking for a forever home where I can live rest of my life and share all my love. Here are some things you should know about me: Energetic and Active: I love daily long walks and need plenty of exercise to keep me happy and healthy. High Prey Drive: It's best to keep me in a fenced yard to ensure I don't get into any trouble chasing after small animals. So, I cannot be around small animals in the house. Smart and Trained: I know a variety of commands and am crate trained, so I'm already ahead of the game! Sensitive Soul: Due to my early life experiences, I'm very fearful of new people and other dogs. I do best as the only dog in the house. Great with Older Kids: I get along well with older children who can respect my boundaries and understand my needs. Needs a Strong Leader: I'm looking for a strong, experienced dog owner who can continue my training and help me build my confidence every day. Despite being neglected and starved by the people who were supposed to care for him — left chained outside without compassion — Jonas never lost his sweetness. A kind woman stepped in when she saw his condition and rescued him, bringing him to SOS El Arca Animal Rescue. There, Jonas received the medical care and slowly gained weight and strength.
