With her playful spirit and loving personality, she is everything you'd want in a puppy. We think she is a Whippet Jack Russell mix! That is our best guess! She is young enough to grow up loving everyone—she does great with kids, dogs, and even cats. She is at the perfect age to learn, bond, and become a loyal companion for years to come. Whether its playtime, cuddle time, or learning new tricks, CAMEO JEWEL is eager to be part of a family who will guide her as she grows. Like all puppies, she will need patience, love, and training—but she will repay you with endless affection and joy. If you are looking to add a happy, loving pup to your life, CAMEO JEWEL could be the perfect match. If you ever wanted a tiny roommate who has no concept of personal space and thinks everything is a game, CAMEO JEWEL is your girl. Adopt her before she learns how powerful she really is! If you're interested in making her part of your family, please fill out an application on our website or send us an email with any questions. We can't wait to hear from you! If you feel that she is a good fit for you/your family, please complete an application from our site, miraclesforsatosrescue.org FOR IMMEDIATE CONSIDERATION PLEASE COMPLETE AN APPLICATION! https://www.miraclesforsatosrescue.org/adopt Please then email the application back to us at miraclesforsatosrescue@gmail.com ------------------------------------- This puppy is located in Puerto Rico. She can transported once an adoption is approved. We strive for our dogs to be adopted into the right home. The best fit for the dog is our priority. Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it needs for fulfillment. In addition, we cannot guarantee the breed of any dog or expected adult size of a puppy. Story
Meet Dea —A Sweet, Gentle Girl Who Will Steal Your Heart Dea is a beautiful 1½-year-old, 37 pound girl with a gentle heart, a sweet nature, and so much affection waiting to be shared. Soft, sensitive, and incredibly endearing, Dea is the kind of dog who may take a little time to get comfortable, but once she does, she forms a beautiful bond with her people. She enjoys being close, receiving affection, and simply sharing the quiet moments of everyday life. Dea has a moderate energy level and appreciates a calm, predictable environment. She enjoys her walks and spending time with other dogs, but she also knows how to settle and relax. She is intelligent, food motivated, and eager to please, which makes positive training a wonderful way to build both her confidence and her connection with her adopter. Dea is friendly with other dogs and would especially enjoy sharing her home with a friendly, confident canine companion. Having another dog to follow, learn from, and bond with could help her feel secure as she adjusts to her new life. Dea can also thrive as the only dog with a patient adopter who will provide consistency, structure, affection, and the time she needs to gain confidence. She is gentle with children and neutral around cats. Dea is already crate trained and walks nicely on leash, and her potty training is underway. At only 1½ years old, she has her whole life ahead of her and is ready to continue learning alongside her new family. Dea’s story makes her trusting nature even more special. She was abandoned on the streets along with her companions, Oliver and Daphne, after their owner moved away. Thankfully, they were rescued by our partner, SOS El Arca Animal Rescue, and brought to safety. Oliver and Daphne have already made their journey to New York. Now we are hoping it will finally be Dea’s turn. She has an opportunity to travel to New York, but she needs an adopter or foster-to-adopt home waiting for her in order to make the journey. Dea is fully vetted: spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, dewormed, 4DX tested, and on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention with Simparica. Dea may not be the first dog to rush over and greet a stranger, but give her a little time and you’ll discover just how special she is. With patience and kindness, her gentle heart opens and her sweet, affectionate personality begins to shine. Once Dea feels safe with you, she forms a deep bond built on trust and becomes a devoted companion who will happily stay by your side. If you have a peaceful home and a little room in your heart for a gentle girl who just needs the chance to blossom, please consider Dea. She has already watched her friends make it to New York. Now it’s Dea’s turn to find someone waiting for her. To adopt or foster-to-adopt Dea, please complete our adoption application and email sosanimalwelfare@gmail.com.

Story
Meet Kinich — A Gentle Girl Ready for Her Turn Kinich is a beautiful 2½-year-old girl weighing 35 lbs, with a gentle spirit, sweet nature, and affectionate heart. She enjoys the company of other dogs, loves spending time with the people she trusts, and has a wonderful balance of playful curiosity and quiet companionship. Kinich was rescued with Pach, Yum, their siblings, and their mom from a construction site where the Mayan Train railway was being built. The dogs had been surviving there with the help of kind construction workers who were feeding them and looking out for them. Concerned for their safety, the workers reached out to our partner, SOS El Arca Animal Rescue. Thanks to their compassion, Kinich and her family were brought to safety and given the veterinary care, shelter, and attention they needed. Today, two members of Kinich’s little family, Pach and Yum, have already made their journey to New York and have been adopted. Now we are hoping it will finally be Kinich’s turn. Kinich is a sweet and sensitive girl who can be a little shy when she first meets new people or finds herself in an unfamiliar environment. She simply needs a little time to understand that she is safe. Give her patience, kindness, and consistency, and her affectionate personality begins to come through. She does very well with other dogs and enjoys their companionship. A home with a friendly, confident dog could be wonderful for Kinich, giving her a companion to play with and look to as she adjusts to her new surroundings. She can also thrive as a solo dog with a patient adopter who will give her the time and stability she needs to build confidence. Kinich is intelligent, eager to learn, and ready to experience everything that comes with being part of a family. She is crate trained and walks nicely on leash. She is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and 4DX tested. She is also on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention with Simparica. Kinich has spent enough of her young life waiting. Pach and Yum have already found their families in New York, and we would love nothing more than to give Kinich the same chance. She can travel to New York on our next transport, but she needs a committed adopter or foster-to-adopt home waiting for her before she can make the journey. If you are looking for a gentle, affectionate young dog and would love the experience of watching her confidence grow as she discovers what it means to truly belong, Kinich may be the one you’ve been waiting for. To adopt or foster-to-adopt Kinich, please complete an application and email sosanimalwelfare@gmail.com. Pach and Yum have found their happily ever after. Now it’s Kinich’s turn.

Story
Meet Isabella – Sweet, Gentle Whippet Mix Looking for a Second Chance Isabella is a beautiful 1-year-old Whippet mix weighing about 35 lbs. She has a soft, gentle personality and is looking for a loving home where she can feel safe and secure again. Isabella previously had a home where she was loved and cared for. Sadly, her owner’s health declined due to severe diabetes, and with great sadness he made the difficult decision to place her in rescue so she could have the life she deserves. The transition has been confusing for Isabella, and shelter life can feel overwhelming for such a sensitive dog. She may be a little shy when first meeting new people, but with patience, kindness, and a few treats she slowly begins to open up. Once she feels comfortable, her affectionate and playful personality really shines. Isabella absolutely loves other dogs. Being around canine friends helps her feel confident, and she enjoys running and playing. Watching her in the play area shows what a happy young dog she truly is. She would do best in a calm, patient home where she can take the time she needs to build trust and confidence. In return, she will form a deep bond with the people who give her the love and security she deserves. Isabella has the opportunity to travel to New York on the next transport in August, but she needs an adopter or foster-to-adopt home in time. Isabella is fully vetted:
-Spayed
-Microchipped
-Fully vaccinated
- Dewormed
- 4DX tested
-On flea, tick, and heartworm prevention (Simparica)
-Crate trained
-Walks well on leash
If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate companion, Isabella may be the perfect addition to your family. To adopt Isabella, please complete an application and email sosanimalwelfare@gmail.com.

Story
Meet Grinch – A Gentle Soul Ready for His Forever Home Grinch is a sweet, resilient 4-year-old, 40-lb boy with a calm spirit and a kind heart. He has a gentle, thoughtful nature and approaches the world with quiet curiosity. Grinch truly enjoys companionship — he’s the kind of dog who bonds deeply and becomes a loyal friend for life. Grinch was surrendered by his owner when she could no longer afford to care for him and three other dogs. It was a heartbreaking but loving decision. She brought them to our rescue partner, SOS el Arca Animal Rescue, where Grinch has received shelter, stability, and compassionate care. Despite the uncertainty in his early life, Grinch has remained gentle, trusting, and deeply appreciative of kindness. With consistency and love, he truly blossoms. Grinch does well with other dogs and loves to play. He enjoys going for walks, and when volunteers take him out for even a 15-minute stroll, his joy is undeniable — he wiggles his hips side to side the entire time. He’s simply so happy to explore the world! He also knows how to relax and cuddle. After some fresh air and adventure, he’s content to settle in close and soak up affection. Grinch would be a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys walks in a park, outdoor adventures, exploring the city, and quiet cuddle time at home. He would thrive in a home with another playful dog, but he could also be perfectly happy as the only dog, soaking up all the love and attention. Anyone who gives Grinch a chance will be rewarded with a deeply loyal, loving companion — the kind of once-in-a-lifetime dog who never forgets the kindness shown to him. We would love to bring Grinch to New York on our August transport, but he can only make the journey with a committed adopter or foster-to-adopt home in place. Grinch has already endured too much uncertainty in his life. His next chapter deserves security, love, and belonging. Grinch is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, heartworm tested (negative), dewormed, on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention, and crate trained. If you’re looking for a gentle soul who will truly appreciate the home you give him, Grinch may be the perfect match. Please fill out our adoption application at sosanimalwelfare.org and email it to sosanimalwelfare@gmail.com with any questions. Grinch is ready for his fresh start — and for a family who will never let him feel abandoned again.

Story
PLEASE READ BELOW FOR OUR ADOPTION APPLICATION LINK MEET STELLA the Lab Mix (tall and skinny body frame with a deep chest like a Greyhound) North New Jersey Stella is the sweetest girl and as easy as they come. She loves sunning herself in the yard and taking naps. She is a very good communicator and lets you know when she needs to go out, wants to come in, needs water, etc. She also let's you know if someone is approaching the house, although she doesn't move from her sunny spot to do so. She is very well behaved in the house and clearly had some training and strict rules in her former home. She seeks approval to move around at all turns. It’s kind of sad actually. She is spayed, UTD, her blood work and xrays are normal, HW negative, she was treated for Lyme, her mouth is nice and clean so she didn't need a dental, housebroken, and she weighs 69 lbs. Her digestive system was a disaster upon arrival so we did allergy testing (5Strands) and the ole gal knew what she needed—the only thing she would eat and she had some great options—Annamaet Lean kibble (green bag). It’s as boring and vanilla as it comes. Her stomach cleared up immediately and she has been regular since. Stella is a wonderful gal who deserves her very own person to spend her retirement. She is very happy to meander around a small yard and plop down. She doesn’t really need to be walked so she is a great option for someone who just wants to let their dog out into the yard and back in. Given she is older and has long legs, she should not be doing a lot of stairs. She can do a step or two to get in and out of the house but she is not doing a flight of steps. So ideally a Ranch style house would be wonderful for her and obviously would prolong her life. Please fill out our adoption application if you are interested in Stella (link below). Please note we do not reply to all applications. Unfortunately we do not have the bandwidth. We only reach out if we would like to move forward in the process with your application. Thank you in advance for your understanding! Her adoption donation is $250. TO BE CONSIDERED, PLEASE FILL OUT OUR ADOPTION APPLICATION We only process complete applications and providing false information immediately disqualifies you from adopting. https://gingerbreaddogs.org/adopt-overview/adoption-application/ Please follow our Facebook page to see new dogs as they arrive and to keep up on the daily shenanigans: https://www.facebook.com/gingerbreaddogs ABOUT OUR PROCESS: WE ONLY CONTACT APPLICANTS WITH WHOM WE WANT TO MOVE FORWARD. We typically get in touch within 24-48 hours, but it may take up to 10 days. Please watch your email and answer your phone (from 201 area code) after you submit an application. Unfortunately, we do not have the manpower to reply to all applicants. We also do not have the manpower to accept phone calls. Everything we know about the dog is posted above. Our adoption process is on our website. You can see more about our daily operations on our Facebook page. PLEASE give your vet office permission to speak with rescues if you are applying to adopt from any rescue. Ask them to mark your file. If they will not speak with us, we will move on to the next application and you will not be considered. We consider out-of-area adoptions on a case-by-case basis. All meet & greets and adoptions are held in north New Jersey, and we do not transport our pups. You must come to NJ. We also do not “hold” dogs. It is “first qualified, first come” and our expectation is you will move quickly to conduct the meet & greet if you are approved. An approved application does not guarantee adoption of any dog from our rescue, and we reserve the right to deny adoption at any point during the process.
