At just 3 years old and 32 lbs, Annie is ready to give—and receive—so much love with her forever family. Annie is an incredibly sweet girl. She can be shy at first, but offer her a few treats and she’ll melt right into you. She loves cuddles, gentle affection, and spending time with people she trusts. Her favorite part of the day is when volunteers take her out for walks — she absolutely adores exploring and being outside. In an overcrowded shelter where puppies are chosen first, wonderful dogs like Annie are too often overlooked. While the younger pups get attention, others wait quietly, hoping someone will finally see their worth. Annie and her brother Alfred were abandoned when their owners simply moved away and left the two young pups behind. Concerned neighbors brought them to SOS El Arca Animal Rescue, where they were finally safe. About a year old when found, they have now spent two long years in the shelter. Alfie was fortunate enough to travel to New York, where he was adopted by a loving family who absolutely adores him. Now, we dream of the same happy ending for Annie. Imagine how she must have felt watching her brother leave the kennel without her… Annie has a chance to come to NYC on December 9th — but only if we find a foster or foster-to-adopt home. Her personality is truly wonderful. She gets along beautifully with dogs, is gentle with cats, and is sweet and calm around children. Despite being neglected and starved by the people who were supposed to care for him — left chained outside without compassion — Jonas never lost his sweetness. He just adores people, and his ability to trust and love after everything he endured is remarkable. A kind woman stepped in when she saw his condition and rescued him, bringing him to SOS El Arca Animal Rescue. There, Jonas received the medical care and slowly gained weight and strength. Today, Jonas is a grateful, affectionate companion. He follows his caretakers around, gently placing his head in their laps with those beautiful eyes that radiate tenderness and gratitude. We would love to find Jonas his forever home — or a foster-to-adopt home — in New York for our next transport on December 9th. His ticket is ready; he’s simply waiting for his person.
