Born: June 11, 2022 I am currently 28lbs and l am looking for my forever home. Adoption Donation: $450 All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up to date on preventatives at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present at the time of your appointment. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. The shelter is currently open by appointment only with an approved application. Please note, all applications are considered general and stay on file for 6 months. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, the adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. Animal House Shelter cannot guarantee the breeds of the adoptable animals. The animals are posted on the website as the breed or breed mix based on their physical characteristics they most resemble. We also cannot guarantee the ages of our adoptable animals or how large puppies will be when fully grown. We look forward to seeing you soon! Blitz is a cute little three year old whippet/lab mix baby girl. She is sweet, loves to cuddle and enjoys smiling when she sees you after a short time away. Her foster family calls her "wiggly butt" because she can't contain her excitement when she sees her people. She is housebroken, crate trained and gentle taking treats. Blitz plays well with other dogs, but isn't good with cats. She guards her food from other dogs on occasion (she growls, but has never done anything except growl). She is sometimes shy when meeting new people, but warms up quickly and then wants to be with you whenever she can. If you would like to meet this cute little girl, please let us know.

Meet Sara…. Sara is an adorable puppy, thought to be a Whippet – Black Lab Mix; she’s petite with a dainty bone structure vs the more solid bone structure of a Lab!! She’s very smart, a quick learner, very alert and quite energetic!! At about 4 months, Sara weighs 15 lbs. It is most important to note that we cannot be 100% sure of her adult weight, but our best guess is about 35-40 lbs. This cute pup joined BAARK from an overcrowded shelter in Kentucky earlier this year. She is thought to have been born around November 24 2022. When joining our rescue program, Sara appeared happy, calm & gentle, very friendly, and eager to move on to a better life!! Sara is very sociable, playful, and is great with dogs. She may be a bit too energetic for a senior (dog or human!) An ideal family for Sara is one able to assimilate the energy of a puppy into their lifestyle and is willing to commit the time to working with and training Sara to be her best self! A fenced yard is ideal as is another younger or middle-aged pup in the family. Perhaps you’d consider adopting Sophia along with Sara…the girls are sisters!! Sara is crate-trained and is working on good house manners (housebreaking). She is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, is on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.
