From his foster: Neuf is a happy, spunky, energetic guy who loves squeaky toys, playing with other dogs, and zooming around the yard. He’s very smart and highly food-motivated, making him responsive to training—he’s already picking up basic obedience quickly. Neuf does great in his crate overnight and is fully potty trained, going right away when let out. Neuf can be a bit vocal at first when hearing new sounds or meeting new people, but he settles quickly and becomes friendly and affectionate with calm, patient introductions. He appears new to structured leash walking and may pull, dart, or bark at moving things, so he’ll need a patient adopter committed to continued leash training. With consistency, he has already shown impressive improvement. He does have some mild separation anxiety and prefers being near his humans—something we expect will continue to improve in a stable, forever home. Neuf is very playful and may nibble during excitement or greetings, which is not aggressive but does require redirection and ongoing training. Because of this, he would do best with adults or older children who understand dog boundaries. Neuf is good with other dogs but has been known to chase cats, so a cat-free home is recommended. With structure, patience, and love, Neuf has made incredible progress in a short time and will make a loyal, affectionate companion. He’s a sweet boy with so much love, snuggles, and tail wags to give. Neuf will come with two hours of private training sessions with one of our trainers to help set him and his new family up for success.

Story
Sweet little Bea was running around rural Georgia with her sidekick for several weeks after apparently being dumped. Everybody in the area said they were friendly, but no one knew them so they called animal control. The girls were very bonded at first, but we feel like their first love is people. They want to love people and be loved so badly but when they didn’t have any people, they became very attached to each other. Her sidekick has now found her forever home and it’s Miss Bea’s turn now. She’s exceptionally sweet and outgoing. She loves to go for walks and rides in the car. She also loves to snuggle on the couch. Bea is 22 pounds and between four and five years old. WE ARE ONLY GUESSING AT HER BREED! She does not really have a JRT temperament but she has the size and cute little short tail. She is up-to-date on vaccines, spayed and heartworm tested negative. She appears to be a very healthy and happy girl. We always recommend proper intros when meeting new feline friends. Canica is fully house trained and is crate trained. She does fine confined in an area with things to do during a work day. All new dogs may have accidents in a new home. Canica loves toys and plays fetch. She even enjoys playing outside in the snow. Canica likes to wear clothes and would do great learning to wear boots too! Because she is a bit of a wallflower, Canica would do great in a basic training class to help bond with a new family too. Sweet momma, Utopia and her five day old pups were one day away from being euthanized in a small south Texas animal control. Momma was scared and protective of her babies for a few days before she realized they were safe. NOW she is THE sweetest and most loving girl!! She is doing good with potty training and is good with dogs and cats. She likes going for drives and walks good on a leash. She's got the cutest little tuft of fur on her head. She's smart and likes to play. Her puppies are cattle dog mix. They are playful and happy. They prefer playing with each other but like their stuffed animals. They are working on pee pad training. They are currently around five pounds, and almost ready for their families!! Mama is likely a long haired/wire haired dachshund and the pups have the low rider qualities with heeler markings- ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!! Meet Pixie — a tiny dynamo with a big personality! Pixie was found by a kind 97-year-old woman, and while we don’t know how long she lived on the streets, it’s clear this little girl has already overcome a lot. Pixie tested heartworm positive after being rescued and is bravely completing her treatment, which is expected to be finished in early February. Now about 2 years old, she’s looking ahead to a brighter future in a loving forever home. Pixie is a terrier–Chihuahua mix (we think!) who brings confidence, energy, and charm wherever she goes. She’s a high-energy, alpha female who knows what she likes and isn’t afraid to show it — a true “small but mighty” kind of girl. She does well with other dogs and currently lives in her foster home with three large dogs and two other small Chihuahuas. Pixie enjoys walks, doesn’t mind car rides, and once she feels comfortable, she’s perfectly happy entertaining herself with her chew toys. Like many confident little pups, Pixie is protective of her personal space and appreciates having a safe spot of her own. Her crate is her sanctuary, and she may guard her toys — so she’ll do best with an adopter who understands and respects boundaries. She can be vocal at times, as is typical of small dogs, and she makes a great little alert pup. Pixie is still working on potty training, and she’s very treat-motivated, which will help her continue learning and thriving. Pixie would do best with an experienced dog owner who appreciates a confident, spirited little companion with lots of personality. If you’re looking for a spunky, independent, and entertaining sidekick — Pixie might just be your girl.
