Hi! My name is Dale. I'm from a local animal control. From the foster: Dale starts out shy and hesitant, but once he knows you're not scary, he is a champion snuggler who would probably spend all his time sleeping in your lap if you let him. He'll even pick snuggles over peanut butter! At night, he likes to curl up under the covers with his person. As a little guy, Dale gets nervous about people standing over him or reaching for him. He'll often hunch down when he's startled or flinch at loud noises. Because of this, he will need someone who is committed to helping him build his confidence and would do best in a home that is low key, without a lot of noise and coming and going. Dale goes into his crate without complaint, and is always up for a trip outside to potty, but he does not yet go to the door to signal that he needs to go. He is easily distracted and can take a while to go, so it's important to keep an eye on him to make sure he does his business before coming back inside. With the right person, Dale has the potential to blossom into the best little lap dog ever.

You can tell, Freddie is such a handsome strong boy! He is 5 yrs old and 29 lb. Freddie is very athletic and always full of energy. Daily walking and playing are his favorite activities, but it is not enough for him! He likes hiking and long distance walking. If you or your child likes to biking, don’t try to beat him in running cause you will lose! Freddie is very alert and definitely does his job by keeping all intruders out of your yard, no matter if they are small animals or strangers. You will never see a more honest and vigorous watchdog than Freddie. Well, that also means sometimes he is vocal but you won’t want to blame him for being a great singer. Freddie is also super sweet when he is with the family. He really enjoys feeling your body warm and tends to either sit or lay by you. He is the most content creature in the world when you respond to his invitation by caressing him when he lays down in front you and showing you his soft belly. This lovely guy really deserves a home.

Hi! My name is Scarlet and I am from a local animal shelter. Scarlet is such a sweet, inquisitive puppy. She loves to explore and play and meet people, but also likes to cuddle into your lap once she has worn herself out. She's a people pleaser and food motivated, so training has been fun and easy so far - I think she would love learning tricks and would pick up on them quickly. She has just started walking on leash, but is doing well so far. She is about 95% potty trained, and I expect she will be fully trained by the time she goes to a new home. She is crate trained and sleeps through the night with no problems. She will sometimes whine if she is in her crate/pen during the day and can hear us in the house, although she is learning to be comfortable spending time alone in her own space. She's still a puppy and will need the training and attention a puppy requires, but she is a quick learner who loves spending time with her people. Scarlet loves kids and is great with kids of all ages. I think she would love having another dog around as well, but it isn't a necessity.

His elderly owner who loved them very much had to move in with family and is not longer able to care for him and his 2 buddies, Oreo and Lexie. Not only did he lose his owner but his home as well. Being the lil trooper he is, he's settled down in his new foster home and is doing remarkably well. It helped he got to stay with his doggie family and is making friends with the other foster pups there. Shorty is around 5 years young and would make a great companion for just about any household. He is at the age where he's just a lot of fun to have around. Some benefits to adopting an older pup - What you see is what you get, no guessing how big they will be or what they will look like grown They are already house and crate trained They are out of the puppy destructive stage, they don't need to be constantly monitored If they are quiet for too long, they're probably taking a snooze Shorty is super affectionate with everyone. Always working at how next to put a smile on your face! That's not really work cuz just one look at this face and you can't help but feel that twitch of the lips and then I just need to give you one of 'my looks' and that twitch will turn into a full blown smile! My super power at it's finest!!! At only around a year old I am an active playful pup that still has a lot of learning to do, and with your help, I'm ready to ROCK it!! My house training is coming along and I'm getting pretty good at going outside to potty and I am crate trained. I do real well with the other foster pups here and would love having a playful sibling to torment...oops, did I say that out loud? I meant to say play with. ;) Nothing like getting in some zoomies out in the yard with a cohort in crime!!!! I will need to have plenty of exercise and playtime in to keep my body and mind stimulated and my shenanigans at a minimal (that's my young age and the terrier part of me coming out). At around 10lbs I'm at my growed up weight and will stay on the small side so it'll be easy to just scoop me up and take along on all your daily activities. My favoritest time is you and me time, no matter what we're doing!! And the bestest thing is I don't take up much room on the couch or recliner. I'm a perfect fit for just about any lap! The sun is shining up in the sky, throwing you your little shadow...ME! Never be by yourself again, I'll follow you from room to room, outside to back inside. Even when the sun goes away at the end of the day, you'll know it'll be coming back to brightener your day cuz I am here, still being your shadow!!
