Story
Video 1: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/_I98d4DP6jw Video 2: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/R4ikj0Xsa10 Rudolph is about a year old and weighs 16 lbs. He was found dumped in a field where he would have certainly died if he wasn't rescued. He is the sweetest little boy who loves cuddles and kisses and follows me like a champ. He was a litte intimidated by all the big dogs at the rescue at first but once he realized that everyone is a friend he joined the gang and now runs and plays with everyone in the yard freely. He is also great with cats, including kittens. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tacoma, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) - Vermont (Brattleboro) Vetting: neutered, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, heartworm tested (negative). Adoption fee: $650 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma and all vetting listed above) Adoption application (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 FAQs (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://docs.google.com/document/d/12eb_SRtk1AzaBl87UltcLJ24MjH9UhQm_LE77iWZEQA/edit?tab=t.0 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95

Story
***Due to an overwhelming response, we are pausing applications on Nicolas to review those already submitted. Please watch our page as we will be posting more littles over the next few days. Thank you!*** Nicolas is a 1-2 year old Terrier mix, likely with some Yorkie. He found himself at Beeville Animal Control after a Good Samaritan witnessed him being abused by unhoused person. Unfortunately this sweetie sat there for two weeks and nobody claimed him. Since they only have 5-6 kennels he would quickly lose his spot be euthanized for space, so our rescuer stepped in and saved him. Nicolas is very playful and just wants to play all the time. He does have an off switch when you put him in his kennel. He is submissive with other dogs. He has an affinity for squeaky toys, perhaps too much? This good boy is good on leash, potty trained (he was marking before his neuter), good with kids, and would make a great apartment dog. The only thing that makes him just below perfect, is he needs to be monitored outside or he will dig a hole to freedom! Nicolas is currently living in a foster home in San Antonio, Texas, awaiting an adopter or open foster home in Colorado to bring him up and into their home- the next transport arrives January 9th! ***Nicolas is being posted on behalf of our partner rescue in Texas- the process and adoption will go through them. The adoption fee does not include the transport fee (usually $125-200).*** Red Fern Animal Rescue offers a two week foster to adopt trial in your home before finalizing the adoption to ensure the animal is the right fit for you, everyone in the home, human & animal, and vice versa. Red Fern Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foster-based animal rescue in Denver that saves animals from abandonment and neglect in South Texas for new lives in Colorado. We primarily rescue dogs off the streets and from kill shelters in San Antonio. ##2614911##

Story
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Tucker #7 finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours  (please check your spam folder for our emails) .   Tucker #7 | 3.5-Year-Old Yorkie Mix | Smiley Little Gentleman Tucker is a 14-pound black-and-tan Yorkie mix with a big personality packed into a small, adorable frame. At 3.5 years old, he’s a sweet, easygoing, and friendly little guy who loves his people and thrives on affection. Tucker is reliably house trained with little to no accidents, though as with any dog, an occasional accident can happen in a new environment. He lets you know when he needs to go out by standing at the door. Tucker does great on leash and genuinely enjoys his walks, making him a wonderful walking companion. He has a medium energy level and is content with about 30 minutes of casual activity once or twice a day before happily settling in to relax. He does well with structure and boundaries and knows basic commands like sit, stay, come, no, and wait. He’s very food motivated—mini milk bones and pupperoni are among his favorites. Tucker is crate trained and does fine when left home alone for short periods with another dog in the house. He may whine briefly at first but settles down nicely. While Tucker has positive interactions with other dogs, he doesn’t seem particularly interested in playing with them and would likely be happiest as the only dog in the home where he can be the center of attention. One of Tucker’s most endearing traits is his little “smile,” which he flashes when he wants attention or is hoping for kisses—it’s absolutely adorable. He was found as a stray and has since been neutered, during which a small lump on his head was removed. His sutures have been removed, he’s healed beautifully, and he has no ongoing medical needs. Tucker is ready to find a loving home where he can soak up all the love he deserves.   If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
