Please contact Constance (connibouchard@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Rescued dogmportant InformationPlease read!If you are interested in me after reading about me, please visit my site, http://www.breederadoptions.org and follow the instructions. The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less-than-ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train. Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue. However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs. The dogs we rescue have lived with other dogs all of their lives and most get along with other dogs. We state if they are dog aggressive. We require a permanent, full-time parent. That means you must be able to spend the majority of your time with your new companion to socialize and train. We do not, under any circumstances, place them in homes with young children as they have not been exposed to children and we do not know how they will react. Please do not waste your time or ours if you are not prepared to adopt within 2 weeks and you are not willing to pick the dog up at its location.Hi! My name is Sophie, and I am a sweet Yorkie girl who is was born 5/12/18 and I weigh 7 pounds. I need an all-adult home and a sibling to learn from would be ideal, but I would do well if you want to make me the center of your world. If you have been waiting for a super sweet Yorkie, please ask for me on your application to http://www.breederadoptions.org.Love, Sophie 041924-13January 31, 2026, 1:57 pm

Story
Buddy is a one year-old Yorkshire terrier. He came to our family from a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Denver area. Buddy is very loving and wants to be with his people. He loves lots of pets, sitting on laps, playing in the yard and a good squeaky toy. He is good with our other dog and three young children. Buddy's only problem is he was born with a heart murmur. He still runs, jumps and plays like any other dog but may need medication in the future. Buddy is not neutered and could be used to breed full-bred Yorkshire terriers for up to $2,500 per dog. The only reason we are surrendering Buddy is his owner was my elderly father who can no longer care for him.

Story
***Due to an overwhelming response, we are pausing applications on Nicolas to review those already submitted. Please watch our page as we will be posting more littles over the next few days. Thank you!*** Nicolas is a 1-2 year old Terrier mix, likely with some Yorkie. He found himself at Beeville Animal Control after a Good Samaritan witnessed him being abused by unhoused person. Unfortunately this sweetie sat there for two weeks and nobody claimed him. Since they only have 5-6 kennels he would quickly lose his spot be euthanized for space, so our rescuer stepped in and saved him. Nicolas is very playful and just wants to play all the time. He does have an off switch when you put him in his kennel. He is submissive with other dogs. He has an affinity for squeaky toys, perhaps too much? This good boy is good on leash, potty trained (he was marking before his neuter), good with kids, and would make a great apartment dog. The only thing that makes him just below perfect, is he needs to be monitored outside or he will dig a hole to freedom! Nicolas is currently living in a foster home in San Antonio, Texas, awaiting an adopter or open foster home in Colorado to bring him up and into their home- the next transport arrives January 9th! ***Nicolas is being posted on behalf of our partner rescue in Texas- the process and adoption will go through them. The adoption fee does not include the transport fee (usually $125-200).*** Red Fern Animal Rescue offers a two week foster to adopt trial in your home before finalizing the adoption to ensure the animal is the right fit for you, everyone in the home, human & animal, and vice versa. Red Fern Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foster-based animal rescue in Denver that saves animals from abandonment and neglect in South Texas for new lives in Colorado. We primarily rescue dogs off the streets and from kill shelters in San Antonio. ##2614911##
