Princess #15 | 7 years old | Terrier Mix | Cuddle enthusiast Princess is a sweet, affectionate 7-year-old Terrier mix who thrives on love, snuggles, and attention. At 11 pounds, she’s the perfect lap companion and enjoys curling up under blankets, resting her head on you, or giving gentle hugs. Princess is house trained, communicates clearly when she needs to go outside, and enjoys structured routines that help her feel secure. This little lady loves her daily walks and car rides, though she can be a bit nervous around loud noises and big trucks, so a calm, patient home is ideal. She knows several commands, including sit, stay, come, down, and off, and is motivated by both food and affection. Princess is playful in her own gentle way but prefers snuggling and being near her people to toys. Princess has shown some separation anxiety when left alone, so she would do best in a home where someone is around much of the day or can gradually help her adjust. She enjoys being the center of attention and may do best as the only dog in the home. She has a loving and loyal personality and would thrive in a home that can provide patience, daily walks, cozy cuddle time, and lots of reassurance. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will happily spend hours snuggled up with you, Princess is ready to find her forever lap. If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. He was found dumped in a field where he would have certainly died if he wasn't rescued. He is the sweetest little boy who loves cuddles and kisses and follows me like a champ. He was a litte intimidated by all the big dogs at the rescue at first but once he realized that everyone is a friend he joined the gang and now runs and plays with everyone in the yard freely. He is also great with cats, including kittens. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. We all know how we get that awww feeling when we see a sweet dog that is in need our help. Georgia was one of these dogs that was in dire need due to lack of space in a shelter and therefore facing euthanasia. This gorgeous girl deserves so much better. She deserves a wonderful home that is filled with tons of love and nurturing. Georgia's excellent temperament is a gift that she'll bring to a dog-crazy family that is searching for that loyal best friend who will always be by their side. Georgia is a 6 - 7 year old, 11 lb, Shih Tzu / Yorkshire Terrier mix. Farfel's can't swear to these breeds as no DNA test was done. Her mix was the opinion of shelter veterinarians and we'll go with their opinion. Georgia was saved from euthanasia due to her excellent temperament, love of life and very sweet demeanor with both humans and other dogs. She is untested with cats. We received the following report from Georgia's foster: * * ** * "Georgia is a gentle girl with a heart as soft as her fluffy coat. This sweet little lady is the definition of friendly. A (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog.
