Story
Meet Lana! This 8lb poodle/yorkie mix gal loves everybody, including kids-her little tail never stops wagging! She’s crate trained and sleeps quietly through the night. She appears to be house trained and loves to go on walks. She was slow to warm up to our dogs but was playing with them within a day. She’s very vocal and is working on using her indoor voice She had a rough start but that hasn’t dampened her spirits or the tremendous amount of love she has to give. Once she gets a good bath and grooming she is going to be one beautiful little lady-look at that smile! To meet Lana, please fill out the adoption application at Trevorsanimalrescue.com ##2606467##

Story
We all know how we get that awww feeling when we see a sweet dog that is in need our help. Georgia was one of these dogs that was in dire need due to lack of space in a shelter and therefore facing euthanasia. This gorgeous girl deserves so much better. She deserves a wonderful home that is filled with tons of love and nurturing. Georgia's excellent temperament is a gift that she'll bring to a dog-crazy family that is searching for that loyal best friend who will always be by their side. Georgia is a 6 - 7 year old, 11 lb, Shih Tzu / Yorkshire Terrier mix. Farfel's can't swear to these breeds as no DNA test was done. Her mix was the opinion of shelter veterinarians and we'll go with their opinion. Georgia was saved from euthanasia due to her excellent temperament, love of life and very sweet demeanor with both humans and other dogs. She is untested with cats. We received the following report from Georgia's foster: * * ** * "Georgia is a gentle girl with a heart as soft as her fluffy coat. This sweet little lady is the definition of friendly. She adores people and soaks up affection like sunshine. Whether you’re offering belly rubs, soft pets, or simply sitting nearby, Georgia is happiest when she’s close to the ones she loves. Georgia enjoys a calm, cozy environment and would be a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal and affectionate best friend. She’s the perfect mix of relaxed and playful, always ready for attention but just as content to curl up beside you on the couch for an afternoon nap or a late night movie. If a loving and very devoted pup is the answer to brighten your winter days, Georgia might be the perfect match. She’s ready to shower her forever family with warmth, sweetness, and plenty of tail wags. This little cutie is so much fun to be around. She's goofy and loving and so very sweet! She was so happy go lucky this morning and when we went outside, she walked well and was so excited to be outdoors. She is great on leash and I do believe she is house trained. She only had one accident on her very first night here. Otherwise she knows to go outside and has only pottied outside! She definitely had a home before. I just love this little girl!" * * * * We'd like to place Georgia in a home where she'll get consistent stimulation and love. A (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Georgia has been fully vetted and is up to date on her vaccinations. This support Farfel's commitment to adopting out only healthy dogs. She has also been spayed to reinforce our commitment to a euthanasia-free future in the canine population. Georgia has a mild, grade-3 heart murmur (on a scale out of 6). Our vet isn’t concerned, and dogs live long, happy, totally normal lives with murmurs just like this. It doesn’t slow her down one bit — she enjoys her walks, snuggles, and daily routine just like any other pup. We’re happy to answer questions, but truly, this is not expected to impact her quality of life or her ability to be the loving companion she already is. Applications are currently being accepted for this sweet and very loving best friend and can be found at https://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Georgia please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.

Please contact Constance (connibouchard@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Rescued dogBiography Important Information Please read! If you are interested in me after reading about me, please visit my site, http://www.breederadoptions.org and follow the instructions. The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less-than-ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train.  Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue.  However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs. The dogs we rescue have lived with other dogs all of their lives and most get along with other dogs. We state if they are dog aggressive. We require a permanent, full-time parent. That means you must be able to spend the majority of your time with your new companion to socialize and train. We do not, under any circumstances, place them in homes with young children as they have not been exposed to children, and we do not know how they will react. Please do not waste your time or ours if you are not prepared to adopt within 2 weeks and you are not willing to pick the dog up at its location. Hi! My name is Johnny Lee, and I am a small Yorkie boy who was born 1/18/21, and I weigh 5 pounds. I must have an all-adult home and a small sibling to play with and learn from would be ideal.  If you have been waiting for a little Yorkie boy, please ask for me on your application to http://www.breederadoptions.org.
