Adoption Donation   $   599               Located:     MS   (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details )    Age: approx  5    years old     Weight:   lbs This sweet boy had a rough life. He was found tied to a tree down south. After a trip to the vet we discovered a gem! He is sweet and loves people even after he was abandoned  If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information:  friendsoha@yahoo.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.   Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt. If you feel comfortable that the animal is a good fit for your home, at this point, you would submit a sum of $200 as a partial payment of the adoption fee as we process your application. From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit. If you are not approved to adopt, any payment sent to us would be promptly returned in full. At this point, we will remove the animal from our adoption sites and hold the animal for you while we check your references. If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) reserves the right to deny any adoption application with or without disclosure of cause. Your adoption fee helps to cover the cost of all age appropriate vetting and transportation. FOHARI.ORG makes no explicit or implicit guarantees in reference to the health, temperament and/or the breed of the animal. The animal is adopted ‘as is’, and the adopter assumes all responsibility for treatment of any and all existing conditions or any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur. FOHARI.ORG will provide the animal with the basic vaccines, heart worm test and sterilization of dogs and cats before adoption if the age and current health of the animal permits. While FOHARI.ORG makes every effort to place only healthy animals, FOHARI.ORG cannot guarantee the health of any animal, and shall not be held responsible for any medical expenses that may be incurred. Rescuer will provide information received from the veterinarian exam, observations on the temperament of the animal and a best guess of the breed. Friends of Homeless Animals Inc. Story
Introducing Harvey, the pint-sized pup with a giant heart (and bark!) Warning: This bio may contain excessive levels of cuteness and goofiness. Hey there, potential furever fam! Meet Harvey, a tail-wagging ball of energy trapped in a (relatively) small dog body. Don't let his size fool you, though. His spirit animal is a Great Dane, and he has the loyalty and love to match! Here's what you can expect with Harvey in your life: The ultimate shadow: He may not be able to carry your groceries, but he can become your personal shadow, following you from room to room and offering moral support (and maybe some enthusiastic head nudges for pets). A cuddle monster: Don't be fooled by his feisty side. He also loves to snuggle up on the couch and be showered with affection. Ear scratches are his ultimate weakness – just one scratch and he will turn to mush in your hands! A certified goofball: His playful personality will have you laughing every day. Think of him as your personal clown (with a wagging tail instead of a red nose). A lover, not a loner: While he is independent, he doesn't do as well left alone for long periods. Apartments might not be his jam (thanks to his impressive vocal range), but a house with a yard where he can unleash his powerful voice would be best. Please reach out to info@joyrides.org if you'd like to learn more about adopting Harvey! Harvey is being fostered in Houston, TX and is available locally, within driving distance or out of state. He would come to his new home via professional transport. Age: 10 yrs Weight: 13 lbs Dogs? possibly! depends on the dog so he is happy to chat about it! Cats? no thanks! Kids? unknown Ok for apartment life? probably not

Story
Bella was born on September 11,2018. She is a 5-year-old Yorkie. She has a big personality. So much fun and very playful. She will attach herself to primarily one person and will be cautious of strangers, however, will warm up to family and friends. She has separation anxiety which is managed with medication. As a result, she is rarely left alone, but gladly accompanies me almost everywhere I go. She has fully recovered from bladder stone surgery, has had a follow up x-ray and is clear of all stones. Bella will need to be on a special diet, to stay free from bladder stones. Bella would benefit from someone that's home more than not so she can have more frequent opportunities to potty to keep her bladder empty. A fenced in yard would be ideal as she loves to play fetch & run for exercise. Unfortunately, I can no longer take care of her due to my own health issues. If interested, she comes with her own extensive wardrobe, including car seat & carriers.
