Story

Rusty and Rose are an adorable brother-and-sister pair who came to Pet Rescue By Judy when their owner could no longer care for them. At approximately one year old, these two are full of charm, affection, and playful energy. We believe they are a Yorkshire Terrier / Poodle mix, giving them those cute faces and soft, fluffy coats everyone loves. Both Rusty and Rose are friendly, social, and enjoy being around other dogs and children. They are happy pups who love attention and would do well in a home where they can continue to build confidence and learn new skills. Whether playing together or cuddling with their people, these siblings bring double the love and fun. While Rusty and Rose do not have to be adopted together, we would love to find a home where they can stay together  That said, the right loving home for each individual pup will always be considered.  Neither Rusty nor Rose is potty trained yet, so they will need an adopter who is patient, consistent, and committed to house-training and basic obedience. With routine, positive reinforcement, and time, they should do very well—especially since they are still young and eager to please. Grooming Tips for Yorkie-Poodle Mixes Rusty and Rose’s coats will require regular grooming to keep them comfortable and looking their best:   Brushing several times a week helps prevent tangles and matting Professional grooming every 6–8 weeks is recommended Regular ear cleaning, nail trims, and teeth brushing will help keep them healthy Keeping the coat trimmed shorter can make maintenance easier, especially for active pups   If you’re looking for a **loving companion—or a dynamic duo—**Rusty and Rose could be the perfect addition to your family. They are ready to learn, grow, and share their lives with a committed, caring home.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 8, 2026, 1:46 pm

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Pie is an approx. 8yo, 10lb. male Yorkshire Terrier who found himself as a scared, matted stray in a shelter. He was very happy once he was out of the shelter environment and in a loving foster home, but was still leery about trusting people. His foster mom has been very patient with him, not putting pressure on him, and giving him time to decompress. Pie is learning that getting pets is a good thing. He is doing very well with going potty outside as long as he is taken out often, and he has begun to let his foster mom know when he needs to go out, as well as when it is his dinner time. He has his open crate available for his safe space.  He was very scared at first of being leashed and is still learning, but is doing much better with allowing to harnes, but it's best if he has a small fenced space in which to go potty. Pie hasn't shown interest in toys yet, but takes treats gently which help him with learning new things. His activity level is low to moderate, enjoying quiet time in a comfy bed.  He ignores other dogs and although he hasn't been around cats while with our rescue, we believe he would probably ignore them too. Due to his small size and timid nature, an adult-only home is required.  Pie needs a patient adopter who will give him all the time he needs to settle in. We don't know what he has been through in his past, but we want to make sure his future is filled with patience, love and routine. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect home for Pie, please complete an application and tell us more about you.  January 5, 2026, 10:23 pm
