Apply to Adopt Me! Pie is an approx. 8yo, 10lb. male Yorkshire Terrier who found himself as a scared, matted stray in a shelter. He was very happy once he was out of the shelter environment and in a loving foster home, but was still leery about trusting people. His foster mom has been very patient with him, not putting pressure on him, and giving him time to decompress. Pie is learning that getting pets is a good thing. He is making progress with going potty outside, and he has begun to let his foster mom know when he needs to go out, as well as when it is his dinner time. He has his open crate available for his safe space.  He was very scared at first of being leashed and is still learning, but that is a work in progress so it's best if he has a small fenced space in which to go potty. Pie hasn't shown interest in toys yet, but takes treats gently which help him with learning new things. His activity level is low to moderate, enjoying quiet time in a comfy bed.  He ignores other dogs and although he hasn't been around cats while with our rescue, we believe he would probably ignore them too. Due to his small size and timid nature, an adult-only home is required.  Pie needs a very patient adopter who will give him all the time he needs to settle in. We don't know what he has been through in his past, but we want to make sure his future is filled with patience, love and routine. Judie was part of a hoarder case. She is about 6 years old and is probably a Yorkie/Maltese mix. She weighs just under 10 pounds. She does have a grade 2-3/6 heart murmur, but that did not affect her being spayed and having a dental. She is up to date on shots and microchipped. She is a sweet little girl, but can be a bit independent. She has had pups and loves to play with young dogs.
