Story
Meet Starboy — At 14 years young, this sweet Yorkie has perfected the art of companionship. He’s happiest right by your side, whether you’re relaxing at home, strolling through the neighborhood, or exploring the sights and smells of the dog park together. Starboy may be a senior, but he still enjoys life’s simple adventures. Walks are one of his favorite things, especially when he can take his time soaking everything in. And when the outing is over? A tasty snack and a cozy spot near his favorite person make for the perfect ending to his day. This quiet, loving boy isn’t asking for much — just a soft place to land and someone to share his golden years with. In return, Starboy will give you loyal companionship, gentle affection, and the kind of love only a sweet senior dog can offer. PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. All adoption fees go to help all the dogs in the rescue, some of which require extensive medical care. Thank you for caring for the greater good. Adoption fee is $350 and you can adopt me at www.polkadogz.org. ##2730141##

Story
Roman is an amazing smart puppy. We got him for the kids who really wanted a puppy. They said they were ready for puppy. We have learned that they don’t have a puppy we do. With school and work they don’t have the time for him and I hate that he is being neglected.

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Dino is a sweet little Yorkie mix who is all about love, loyalty and being right by your side. At 6 years old and 13 lbs, he’s the perfect size, big enough to join you on adventures but just as happy curling up next to you for hours. He’s a calm, easygoing guy who truly thrives on companionship. He is fully house trained and does best with a consistent routine. Dino sleeps peacefully through the night in bed with his humans and rides well in the car. During the day, he’s happiest lounging nearby, always keeping you in sight. He is not overly vocal and has a gentle, calm presence. Dino enjoys his walks and does well on leash, though he may pull a bit when excited. He has a low-to-medium energy level and is more of a companion than a high energy play dog. He gets along well with small and medium dogs and has been around a kitten in his foster home, which he mostly ignores. He hasn’t been around large dogs or young kids yet, but his gentle nature suggests he could do well with proper introductions. He is wonderful with adults and has a very easy, loving personality. He’s not very interested in toys or rough play. He’s much more of a hang out with my person kind of dog. He can live happily with another dog or as the only pet, as long as he has his human close by. Dino is not a fan of the crate but does not need to be crated and has shown no destructive behavior when left alone. He does have some mild separation anxiety and may cry briefly when you leave, but he settles down on his own.  Dino came to our rescue as an owner surrender. He had been suffering with bladder stones for a couple years, without treatment. When it came time that emergency surgery was needed, they could not afford the surgery so they asked the vet to euthanize him. We got the phone call from the vet and decided to take him under Lil Rascals. During surgery, the stones were removed from his bladder, but he has one stone that embedded in his urethra wall, and could not be removed. It is causing no blockage or pain. It may stay in there forever without any issues. He will need to remain on a prescription urinary diet his entire life to help prevent bladder stone recurrence, along with a urinalysis every 3-6 months, and X-rays and labwork annually. With proper care, he can live a happy, normal life. As a Yorkie mix, he will require regular grooming to keep his coat looking its best. Dino greets his people with lots of excitement and a little jumping, it’s all love. With some basic training and consistency, he’ll continue to thrive. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will follow you from room to room and happily lay by your side, Dino is your guy. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect home for Dino, complete an app and tell us more about you.  May 12, 2026, 3:57 pm

Story
Saint is such an amazing pup. He’s so sweet and listens very well. He did chase a cat out of our yard while playing outside with my girls and the rear of a tire hit him. He had a broken hip, but has he healed so well and is able to walk, run, and play. He cannot jump high like he used to. He cannot jump to get on furniture as he used to. In the recent years, my daughters and myself have gotten sick more often than normal. One of my daughters ended up having to get her tonsils and adenoids removed, but still gets very congested. After getting allergy tested, it reflects that we are all highly allergic to dogs. Although we are now taking allergy shots, I am told that we have to go through a five-year series to improve our allergies and as much as we love Saint, with our school and work attendance being impacted significantly, we are making the tough decision to rehome him.

Story
Hi, I'm Aria, a 12-pound, 8-year-old, long-haired Chihuahua/Yorkshire Terrier girl with a sweet song in my heart! I’m not only a beauty (so I’m told), but I’m playful and cuddly, too. Don’t let my age fool you, I still love toys and walks and have great energy!  I'm looking for a home that has room for a pup who loves food, fun, and affection. Favorite Things: Aria loves to play with squeaky toys – and the squeak is more than half the fun! She also enjoys chew toys and a good game of fetch.  Though she has her busy times, Aria also enjoys a cuddle on the couch.  She is happiest in her person’s lap and even happier if there’s a belly rub involved. This little girl loves food, too, and has fun with food puzzles and games. My not-so-favorite things include thunderstorms! Training & Manners: Aria is house-trained in her foster home where she is let out regularly.  She’s a sweet and affectionate girl but is learning not to jump up when greeting people (all 12 pounds of her!) or go straight to a face lick.  She is food-motivated and smart, so training just requires a little time. This sweet girl enjoys a car ride and is always happy when invited along.  She walks well on a leash and sleeps soundly in a secure space at night.  Health & Care: Aria is spayed, chipped, heartworm negative, up to date on her vaccinations, and recently had a dental cleaning. She'll just need her monthly flea and heart preventatives, like any dog. She has a beautiful shiny black coat and regular grooming will keep her looking and feeling her best.  Other Animals: Aria loves other dogs! She has also lived with cats and gets along well with them. Children: Aria loves kids of all ages and is a happy playmate. Ideal Home: Aria isn’t picky and would be happy in a loving home whether an apartment, condo, townhome or single-family residence, as long as she has the opportunity for daily play and exercise. She can be left alone in a secure space for several hours and will greet you with kisses when you return. Overall: Aria will bring a love song to any home.  Is she the one to put a smile on your face? Then visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption application. If it seems like it could be a good match, her foster family will reach out with more information. Her adoption donation is $275. ##2701077##
