Story
Lizzie was adopted from a hoarder situation. She is up to date with all shots and is now healthy. Unfortunately they pulled all of her teeth. But that doesn’t stop her from eating. She eats everything. She loves pork chop bones. She is fine with large dogs and children as long as they don’t stay too long. She needs to be in a home where she is the only dog and no children so she can get 100% of the cuddles. If you are home most of the time would be even better. She has very high anxiety. She is on two medication. She is a sweet pup but she has issues being brought up in a home with 82 other dogs. She will go outside to go to the bathroom but you need to watch for the signals. She will use a pee pad most times. Ive had her for 3 years and she still hasn’t accepted my other pup. She still snips at my husband and grandchildren. Lizzie is 11 years old and runs around the back yard like she is 1. She loves riding in a car. She loves sleeping next to you. She needs to be loved.

Story
Sadie is a 4 lb, 10 yr old Yorkie mix who needs rehoming. She was left with me after I just agreed to take care of her for several days. I have now invested a lot of time and love to transition her to be ready for a new home (she had lived with her previous family for most of her 10 years). She needs to be in a house where she is the only dog due to being picked on by larger dogs in the past (After 6 weeks, she is still acting aggressively towards my small dog who is very passive). She is housebroken but needs a pee-pee pad down or else she will pee on mats... She loves walks or just running around outside in an enclosed space. She enjoys lots of attention and her newfound love is playing with squeaky toys that are made for her petite-sized mouth. When I first got her, she didn't seem to know what toys were for. She does okay being left alone, but loves to be showered with love upon your return. She comes with toys, harness, leash, pee-pee pads, and lots of clothing...

Story
✨Meet Lucy!✨ Lucy is a 5-year-old Yorkshire Terrier mix who came into us as a surrender from a commercial breeding facility (aka Puppy Mill) in Lancaster County. Lucy had a very difficult life before coming to us, being used as a mill mama her entire life. She is shut down at this time but is slowly starting to give us her trust. We are confident she will make a wonderful family member for a very lucky family, who understands her past and gives her the time she needs to trust them and her new surroundings. Lucy loves other animals, and will thrive in a home with at least one other dog. Adopting a puppy mill survivor is life-changing—for you and them. For these dogs, everything is new and often overwhelming: people, houses, stairs, leashes, food bowls, collars, toys, TVs, ovens, doorways, pavement…the list goes on. They need adopters who can move slowly, be patient, keep expectations reasonable, and provide the understanding and tools they need to grow into happy, confident companions. Patience, positive reinforcement, and understanding are key! We promise there is nothing that compares to gaining the love and trust of a mill mama, but it requires intentional effort and commitment from their new family. With the right guidance, puppy mill survivors can blossom into well-socialized, joyful dog- so our goal is always to ensure every adopter is fully prepared to give them the life and environment they need to truly thrive! If you are interested in being considered for them please apply on our website at www.angelsretreat.org 💕🐾 Angel’s Retreat West Chester, PA PA Kennel License 17335

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Delilah aka momma yorkie is 7 years young yorkie mix who is looking for a soft place to land. Her and her daughter Daisy were found abandoned by their family when their dad went into assisted living, they were left in the cold until a good Samaritan brought them to safety. While we would love to keep these girls together they are not bonded and can be placed separate homes.    Delilah aka Momma yorkie is a hoot and knows she deserves to be queen of the couch. She loves to snuggle up next to you or chill on a comfy bed. She gets along with dogs and cats. She is only 9lbs so please keep in mind she needs more frequent potty breaks than a larger dog    Daisy is a sweet soul who needs lots of loving. She is a 3 year old yorkie mix and is perfectly content with a warm cozy spot to lounge and sleep the day away. She is a low maintenance girl. Like her momma this dainty girl weighs in at 12lbs and will need to be let out a couple times a day for potty breaks with little dogs come little bladdersVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 3, 2025, 6:25 pm

Story
Hello, my name is: Pudding Approx. DOB: 12/08/2021Sex/Breed: Neutered male yorkie/shih tzu mixWeight: 11.6 lbsRescued from: Found strayMeet Pudding! He is the newest All 4 Paws save from ACCT Philly. This little man was found as a stray in the city thin, filthy, and covered in urine, and was brought to ACCT. There, he was incredibly overwhelmed and fearful. He was grumbly, snappy, and just wanted to be left alone - who could blame him?? We were able to offer him a safe escape and a cozy spot in foster care. Pudding is slowly beginning to let his guard down. He is still very nervous in new situations and around new people, so he will need a patient family willing to take things at his pace. Pudding wouldn’t fit in a busy home with children. However, he’d benefit from having a confident dog in his family to help show him the ropes. Right now, Pudding prefers his foster mom above everyone else. He bonds quickly and deeply, craving closeness and attention for those he trusts. He is still working on his training, but is eager to please. This little man just needs time and patience to truly blossom and show his true colors! All our pets are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.Interested in adopting?
