Story
If you’ve ever wanted the easiest dog on earth, Cedric may honestly be your dream guy. 💛🐾 Cedric is a calm, gentle, incredibly sweet boy who fits effortlessly into a home. He’s fully potty trained, walks beautifully on a harness, never barks, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He goes to the dog park several times a week and is always relaxed and social. His personality is best described as “tiny retired gentleman.” He’s very low energy and happiest curled up napping nearby while you go about your day. He’s deaf, which somehow makes him even more peaceful — no barking at noises, no reacting to chaos, just a sleepy little companion living his best cozy life. Cedric has never had separation anxiety and doesn’t need a kennel at all. He’s trustworthy left out in the house and perfectly content entertaining himself with naps until you get home. His favorite sleeping spot is the master closet because he loves dark, cozy spaces, and for reasons only Cedric understands, he prefers a pile of clothes over any fancy dog bed. 😂 He’s the kind of dog people wish they could find: easygoing, affectionate, quiet, well-mannered, and impossible not to love. If you want a best friend who brings calm energy, zero drama, and endless sweetness to your home, Cedric is ready to move in. 🐶✨ Adoption fee is: waived to the right home ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. Story
Like many dogs that CAMO rescues, Adrienne came to us in quite bad shape with sever e dental disease, demodex mange, glaucoma and a luxating lens in her right eye requiring removal of that eye. But this little girl has recovered nicely and is ready to be adopted by someone who can manage the glaucoma in her left eye. With eye drops, the pressure has been lowered to well within normal range. And she tolerates the drops very well. Her foster mom reports that she has been an excellent patient. Because of her eye issues, she is visually impaired but can see light and shadows with her remaining eye. This does not slow her down. She gets around her foster home and the backyard quite well though does bump into things occasionally including other foster dogs. She also appears to be hearing impaired. Adrienne has gone from a trembling little girl when she arrived at her foster home to a relaxed lap dog. Her confidence builds every day. She does well in the car and at the vet. She is estimated to be about 10 years old and weighs in at 10 lbs. She is spayed, up-to-date on her vaccinations, heartworm negative and microchipped. After her dental, she was left toothless but gobbles down canned food. Because she is visually and hearing impaired, she would do best in a home with no small children. If you believe you can provide Adrienne a loving forever home, please go to www.camorescue.org to apply for this sweet little girl. Adoption fee is: $75 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Story
At just 6 pounds, 12-year-old Tobi may be tiny in size, but he carries the quiet dignity of an old soul who’s seen a lot, and still has so much love left to give. He’s currently being adored (and we mean adored) in his Houston-area foster home, where his foster mom says he brings out the deepest motherly instincts with his tender, quiet presence. Tobi is the definition of a polite house guest. He spends most of his time rotating between two beds and a kennel… he’s never once needed the door shut, he just likes to tuck himself into cozy corners and nap the day away. He gets along beautifully with the resident dog and cat, and while he isn’t one to seek out affection, he’s content to be gently snuggled and loves a good belly rub or a roll in his favorite blanket. Like many seniors, Tobi has some arthritis and is on anti-inflammatory meds. His activity level is low, but he’s earned the right to take things slow. A sunny spot outside? Heaven. A quiet room with soft beds and understanding company? Pure bliss. His hair is still growing back from a tough past, so his foster is careful to protect his delicate skin, but his little patches are filling in more each week. Tobi’s a bit of a character, too. When it’s time to go outside or eat, his inner Yorkie shows up loud and proud! He’ll stand there barking like he’s 80 pounds- It’s ridiculously cute and a reminder that while he may be fragile, he’s still got spirit. Housebreaking is a work in progress, but Tobi’s about 50/50 and improving daily. If the back door’s open, he’ll head out on his own, and he’s never had an accident with number two. Catch him after a nap, and you’re golden. He’s quick though, so his future person should be, too! Tobi also has a minor condition called paraphimosis (his little boy part doesn’t always tuck back in), but it’s managed easily with Vaseline and doesn’t slow him down or bother him much anymore. Tobi will need to be on a joint supplement like glucosamine and Chondroiton or possibly NSAID for arthritis pain in his legs and spine. Tobi is looking for a peaceful home where someone will love him for exactly who he is—a delicate, dignified, delightful old man who just wants a soft place to land and someone who sees the magic in his quiet ways. Adoption fee is: $150 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Story
Tiny Yorkie. Huge personality. 🐾 Meet Hermoine! This sweet, slightly nervous brown-and-tan Yorkie Terrier mix is ready for her time to shine. At just 1–2 years old she’s the perfect little companion with a big personality. Hermoine is already convinced she’s the neighborhood’s official squirrel security patrol. Fast, fearless, and approximately 11 pounds of pure determination, she takes squirrel chasing very seriously… until it’s time for cuddles, which is most of the time. She does well with other dogs and goes on daily walks and does good with that as well. Since she can be a little nervous at times young children would scare her. She does have a micro eye and can not see out of that eye but it doesn’t seem to bother her and she gets around just fine. Could Hermoine be the perfect match for you? 💛 Adoption fee is: $450 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract.
