You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Zelle, or cash only. donate@yorkierescuehouston.org or, if you prefer: our fundraising platform, Zeffy Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.   Diva's mom passed away from brain cancer.  Her 'aunt' took over her care.  and eventually it became too much for her too. Diva is a happy little dancer!  this girl, like most littles, is scared of loud noises and will seek refuge under the bed, or in her crate.  She gets a bit nervous with a lot of activity/commotion, and will do best in a more sedate, quiet home.  so, no party animals, please! Diva does not do well on long car-rides She has been well loved and cared for, so neglect is not an issue.  She was, however allowed to live her whole life intact.  We are lucky she did not develop life threatening pyometra.  She is now spayed and had a much needed dental. She is a needy little girl.  She wants to be in your company.  AT ALL TIMES! She is used to being hand-fed... so.... Diva is ready for her FINAL home.  is that you? NO HOMES WITH CHILDREN for this girl.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 28, 2025, 11:50 am

Birkin is reported to have had seizures.  He has not had any in our care yet, and our vet doesn't want to start him on meds until we have a better understanding of their triggers (if any) and severity.  His labs were pretty good, with only the T4 being out of range.  We have authorized a thyroid panel for insight. Birkin likes toys and will play fetch and enjoys short walks. Birkin is looking for his forever home.  A home that, will never abandon him or decide he not important!  There is a possibility that seizure prevention meds may be in his future.  We just don't know yet. So, if that's a deal breaker for you, do not apply.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 5, 2025, 10:45 am

Obviously, she didn't have a chip.  But she WAS injured.  She suffered from a broken pelvis and a SI  (SI: Sacroiliac joint injury) A sacroiliac injury, also known as SI luxation, is a condition where the strong ligaments connecting the pelvis and the spine tear, causing the sacroiliac joint to dislocate.  Once she heals from this trauma, we will have her spayed.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 28, 2025, 11:50 am

His elderly owners could no longer care for him due to their own health concerns, but sadly, they didn’t love him enough to leave him with the one thing that was truly his - his name. We decided he deserved a strong, dignified name, so we called him Logan. He decided his name was CUJO. And we promised him that from now on, his life would be filled with the love and respect he should’ve always known. Cujo came to us in desperate need of a dental, which we’ve taken care of. Now he’s feeling much better and ready to find a home that truly deserves him.  Regardless of his past, we hope future is bright. ************************* Cujo has been in the loving care of an experienced foster and has learned how to appreciate being loved.  However, he will still BITE if he's 'forced' to do something he doesn't want to do.... like 'move' or 'go back'   ONLY EXPERIENCED DOG HANDLERS should apply for Cujo He is a fear biter.  for this reason he absolutely will NOT go to a home with children or GRANDCHILDREN!  Don't even ask.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 18, 2025, 2:50 pm

She needed a lot of help.  We got her groomed, started ear meds, had surgery and removed the tumor, spayed her, and got her a badly needed dental. She is healing nicely. We named her Punkin. She is shy at first, but after she trusts you, will seek loves and pets. Punkin gets along with other dogs, but barks at my kittyVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 5, 2025, 6:35 pm

Story
Like many dogs that CAMO rescues, Adrienne came to us in quite bad shape with severe dental disease, demodex mange, glaucoma and a luxating lens in her right eye requiring removal of that eye. But this little girl has recovered nicely and is ready to be adopted by someone who can manage the glaucoma in her left eye. With eye drops, the pressure has been lowered to well within normal range. And she tolerates the drops very well. Her foster mom reports that she has been an excellent patient. Because of her eye issues, she is visually impaired but can see light and shadows with her remaining eye. This does not slow her down. She gets around her foster home and the backyard quite well though does bump into things occasionally including other foster dogs. She also appears to be hearing impaired. Adrienne has gone from a trembling little girl when she arrived at her foster home to a relaxed lap dog. Her confidence builds every day. She does well in the car and at the vet. She is estimated to be about 10 years old and weighs in at 10 lbs. She is spayed, up-to-date on her vaccinations, heartworm negative and microchipped. After her dental, she was left toothless but gobbles down canned food. Because she is visually and hearing impaired, she would do best in a home with no small children. If you believe you can provide Adrienne a loving forever home, please go to www.camorescue.org to apply for this sweet little girl. Adoption fee is: $150 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs. EIN # 46-5486022
