Story
Meet Gina, a precious 8 year old, 9 pound Yorkie girl being fostered in Kyle, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Pupdate: Miss Gina is doing well here. She is an absolute sweetheart and very well mannered in the house. She is finally able to be around my best friends dog, but it took several weeks of interaction. We, however feel that Gina will do best as the only pet in the home. She LOVES her daily walks. We walk 1-2 times a day, up to about 1/2-2/3 of a mile each time. Due to her never being socialized she does react to other animals and some people by barking, but her walks are the best way to introduce her to something she was not given. We do feel over time, she will know that this will be just a normal situation. Gina has also decided that the Halloween decor is not her friend too LOL!! If her furever family decides no walks, that's ok too, as long as she has a yard to play in! She loves to go out in the backyard and chase squirrels and lizards, so a home with a fenced yard is a priority. Inside she's super sweet. If I leave the large living area, she is right on my heels...all the way into the bathroom! She's so quiet inside that I hung some bells on her collar so that I know where she is! Gina loves to be petted and scratched and lays right next to you. Gina is learning everything about being with humans, you can tell she had such a sad life prior without much human interaction. At bedtime I let her snuggle in bed, then she leaves to go in her crate because she gets very anxious in the evenings. She has recently started some meds for that and is doing much better. She needs to be with someone who is home most of the day and can let her in and out as needed and give her the attention she never had growing up. She really is such a sweetheart! Gina is doing so well! She is spayed and had a dental cleaning and they had to remove 3 more teeth, but she still has most of her teeth. She has done amazingly well on a mostly carnivore diet here. Her hair has stopped falling out and she has gained some weight! She does have a little heart murmur that may require medication in the future. This girl LOVES her daily walks. She actually jumps and dances when it's time to go out, lol. She will initially bark (a lot) at new people, but after she's been allowed to sniff them, she loves them. She does well with older kids, but she hasn't been around any young ones. She is definitely an alpha female and it appears that she had to fight for everything where she came from. I believe she may have been abused. She only barks when there are new people or other animals in her sight. She does not care for other dogs and will need to be an only pet. She will watch you eat, but will not whine or beg for food. If you leave the room, she will follow you. She loves being petted and scratched. She would prefer to sleep with you, but will sleep in her crate without any problems. I think she would be best with someone who is retired, or home most of the time. I also think she's a little hard of hearing. Gina is the name she came into the shelter with, so I didn't change it. I do, however, call her Gina, Gigi, Miss G, or Pretty Girl.

Story
If you’re looking for a fun and energetic, new sidekick, L’Oreal is your girl. This sweet girl is approximately five months old and full of puppy energy. She loves to play, but also is a rockstar when it comes to crate training and downtime. We don’t know exactly what kind of dog she is, but we are guessing she is part Yorkie, part Shih Tzu, part poodle. She is weighing in at 6 pounds and we do not expect her to get over 10 pounds full grown. So far, she has not shed in her foster home. We cannot guarantee that she will never shed, because we do not know what breed she is. But we know so far, she appears to be low or no shedding. Because L’Oreal is full of puppy energy, she would do best in a home with children over eight years old and with another adult dog to teach her the ropes. If you are interested in adopting L’Oreal, please submit an application through our website orphanannies.com

Story
Meet The Valhalla Sweethearts: Valen, Kismet, and Bow. Valen is a brave soul with lots of spark and always the first to explore. Sweet Kismet will make you feel like meeting her was a stroke of destiny! And little Bow is a tiny archer aiming straight for the heart with every wag of her tail. We suspect these cuties are Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua mixes, making them the perfect blend of big personality, pint-sized charm, and loyal nature. Be aware that while they are small enough to fit in your lap, they have spirited hearts and will likely enjoy being the center of your world, requiring a home that understands the grooming needs of a Yorkie and the cozy, burrowing warmth a Chihuahua craves. These sweethearts are looking for a lifelong devotion. Waiting for a sign that it’s time to expand your family? Don’t wait, adopt today!
