Story
Meet Gina, a precious 8 year old, 9 pound Yorkie girl being fostered in Kyle, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Pupdate: Miss Gina is doing well here. She is an absolute sweetheart and very well mannered in the house. She is finally able to be around my best friends dog, but it took several weeks of interaction. We, however feel that Gina will do best as the only pet in the home. She LOVES her daily walks. We walk 1-2 times a day, up to about 1/2-2/3 of a mile each time. Due to her never being socialized she does react to other animals and some people by barking, but her walks are the best way to introduce her to something she was not given. We do feel over time, she will know that this will be just a normal situation. Gina has also decided that the Halloween decor is not her friend too LOL!! If her furever family decides no walks, that's ok too, as long as she has a yard to play in! She loves to go out in the backyard and chase squirrels and lizards, so a home with a fenced yard is a priority. Inside she's super sweet. If I leave the large living area, she is right on my heels...all the way into the bathroom! She's so quiet inside that I hung some bells on her collar so that I know where she is! Gina loves to be petted and scratched and lays right next to you. Gina is learning everything about being with humans, you can tell she had such a sad life prior without much human interaction. At bedtime I let her snuggle in bed, then she leaves to go in her crate because she gets very anxious in the evenings. She has recently started some meds for that and is doing much better. She needs to be with someone who is home most of the day and can let her in and out as needed and give her the attention she never had growing up. She really is such a sweetheart! Gina is doing so well! She is spayed and had a dental cleaning and they had to remove 3 more teeth, but she still has most of her teeth. She has done amazingly well on a mostly carnivore diet here. Her hair has stopped falling out and she has gained some weight! She does have a little heart murmur that may require medication in the future. This girl LOVES her daily walks. She actually jumps and dances when it's time to go out, lol. She will initially bark (a lot) at new people, but after she's been allowed to sniff them, she loves them. She does well with older kids, but she hasn't been around any young ones. She is definitely an alpha female and it appears that she had to fight for everything where she came from. I believe she may have been abused. She only barks when there are new people or other animals in her sight. She does not care for other dogs and will need to be an only pet. She will watch you eat, but will not whine or beg for food. If you leave the room, she will follow you. She loves being petted and scratched. She would prefer to sleep with you, but will sleep in her crate without any problems. I think she would be best with someone who is retired, or home most of the time. I also think she's a little hard of hearing. Gina is the name she came into the shelter with, so I didn't change it. I do, however, call her Gina, Gigi, Miss G, or Pretty Girl.

Story
Meet Bye Felicia (aka Lil Bit)!   Looking for a big personality in a little body? Say hello to Lil Bit. She will light up your life with her playful spirit and endless charm! Lil Bit may be small, but she comes with a huge heart and a love for fun. Whether she’s bouncing around with her favorite toys or snuggling up for a cozy nap, this pint-sized dynamo is always ready to make you smile. Lil Bit gets along wonderfully with dogs and absolutely adores people—she’s never met a stranger!   Lil Bit has overcome a lot: after an injury, she has some mobility issues with her back legs, but don’t let that fool you! She doesn’t let anything get in her way and still enjoys playing in the yard, playtime with stuffies, and exploring the world. She’s proof that resilience can come in the cutest package. Her ideal home is one filled with love, comfy spots to rest, and humans (and pups) who appreciate her zest for life. She’s a true inspiration—and a cuddle buddy, too! Ready to add a little bit of joy and a whole lot of personality to your family? Come meet Lil Bit and see why everyone adores her!

Story
Meet Luna, a very sweet 8 year old, 7 pound Yorkie female being fostered in Leander, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Oh my goodness, such a sad story for this precious little UNITED YORKIE RESCUE nugget, Luna. Luna is 8yrs old and 7lbs of pure sweetness. Her story is another one full of sadness. Luna was found on a country road by an amazing gentleman. He knew who the owner was, as she had been on the road in the past. When he brought her back to the owner, the owner told him she didn't want her, and that her medical needs were just too much and she couldn't afford her any longer. Luna had eye infections, her ears were closed shut with infections. Her fur was missing on her little feet, under her neck and belly from untreated bacteria and yeast infections, and a massive mammary tumor on her belly as well from being bred to death!! Typical breeder dump!! I'm so blessed to be her foster mom! We are currently on a lot of meds to kill the skin infection, and we are on schedule to have her surgeries and pathology for her tumor on Jan 13th! Luna got the best Christmas gift and her New Year will be one to celebrate!! She is receiving the best of LOVE and desperately needed medical care each day. We cannot do this without you, as you are our Rescue family and friends. We have a generous gift donation offer of up to $5000 and we're looking for a match. We hope that you might be able to help us reach that goal! I'll always continue to share her story as we get this baby all the care she needs. You can Zelle United Yorkie Rescue at uyrtreasurer@yahoo.com, or go to our website at www.uyr.us, and click on the donate button on the home page! We love you all and Luna is so blessed to have her best life ever. I tell you, she is absolutely so so sweet and she is loving this thing called love that she's getting daily!! We thank you in advance for your donation and please, get your application in too. She will be ready for your love, so apply now!

Story
We welcomed Bella into our family in 2017 while living in Germany, and she has been full of life and a true part of our family ever since. Due to a recent divorce and a much busier schedule, I’m no longer able to give her the time and attention she deserves. Bella is a loving dog who deserves a warm, caring home where she can continue to thrive. If you or someone you know can provide her with a safe and loving place, it would be deeply appreciated
