Story
Simba has spent too long waiting for his forever family. 💔 This strong and spirited Akita-Husky mix is full of energy, loves his toys, and is happiest on long walks or playing with his human. He’s sweet, loyal, and ready for the right home. If you’re looking for a dog with personality and heart, Simba is waiting to meet you! 🐕 Adopt Simba: https://form.jotform.com/221926016430144 Full profile: Simba is a 6-8-year-old Akita-Husky mix with the personality of an Akita and the heart of a lion. He’s playful, sweet, and full of energy but needs a confident and strong adopter who understands his needs. 💪 Strength & Training: Simba is powerful and can pull when excited, so he needs someone physically capable of managing his strength. He’s learning commands like sit, down, paw, and “potty” and thrives with structure. A harness might help with his pulling. 🐾 Energy & Personality: Simba is not always a couch potato! He loves long walks (2+ miles is no problem), playing with his toys, and getting plenty of attention. He’s affectionate and cuddly but always ready for adventure. 🏡 Home Needs: Simba would do best in a home without small children due to his strength and energy. He’s good with other dogs, especially more timid ones, but does best with boundaries around toys and space. He’s also quite the counter-surfer, so keeping things out of reach is key! 🐕 Health: Simba has a thyroid condition that is managed with treatment, giving him renewed energy and playfulness. Simba has had a lot of love and care from his foster, but he’s ready to find his forever home. If you’re looking for a strong, loyal, and playful companion, Simba could be your perfect match. 💙 Ready to meet Simba? Apply to adopt him and give this big-hearted boy the home he deserves. 📌 Share to help Simba find his forever home Currently being cared in Southern California, but can be transported up to northern states, such as Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and anywhere within the US continental, if a great suitable family is willing to adopt him.

Story
Meet Tito – The Starbucks-Loving, Police-Truck-Riding Escape Artist with a Heart of Gold ☕🚓💙 Tito’s story is one you won’t forget. He was born at the home of an 80-year-old woman who had 24 dogs — including two pregnant females that gave birth to 9 puppies each. Slowly but surely, we’ve helped reduce the number of dogs, but Tito’s adventurous spirit couldn’t be contained. Tito and his brother figured out how to jump their broken backyard fence and became local celebrities in the desert, often spotted hanging around the restaurants at the Four Corners — especially Starbucks, their favorite hangout. Despite the frequent “lost dog” posts on our community page, we’d have to explain: They’re not lost, just sneaking out again! One morning, Tito was even spotted standing on top of a police truck at the substation. That was the last straw — we made room for him at our home before he got into any more "trouble." 😄 Now safe and loved, Tito has proven to be one of the easiest, happiest dogs we’ve had. He: 🐾 Loves to play with other dogs 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Adores human affection — especially hugs when you get home 🛋️ Is calm and well-behaved at home ❤️ Just wants to be part of a family But here's the thing — at adoption events, Tito gets shy. He doesn’t show his silly, loving, playful self. So people walk past him, not knowing what a gem he is. Tito is waiting for someone who sees beyond the first impression — someone who will give him the chance to show how truly amazing he is. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and low-maintenance companion, Tito might just be your perfect match.

Story
Sonny is about 1-2 years old and @60 lbs. He came from a home with his husky dad, Daddio. They said his mom was a red cattle dog. He is friendly with people. Active boy who loves his playtime. He does need more leashtraining, as he gets excited and pulls.  He's fine with other big dogs, but he does need a good introduction to them.*Note that young dogs and pure breeds are at the highest end of our prices.* Please find our applications and valuable information under  "Adopt a dog"* on our website:  *www.beaglesandbuddies.com* and email your application to beaglesandbuddies@gmail.com. Let us know your preference of appointment day/time and which dogs you are interested in and we will do our best to accommodate and email you the closest appointment available. Please allow us up to a week to get back to you. Most appointments will be Friday-Sunday, 10 am - 2 pm, for an hour. *Note bring any other dog/s and the entire family to your meet and greet at B&B.* A complimentary training manual is included with each adoption, authored by terristeuben.com. Check out her website - she is fabulous! B&B is glad to be open during the pandemic. We know the value and comfort of a loving pet companion and are doing our best to help the dogs and folks who need them. We update our website daily and are always rescuing, vetting, rehabilitating, socializing. &#226&#128&#139 Are you my furrever family? For further info on the adoption process, please visit our home page and check out the "Adopt a Dog" section, which has thorough instructions.  All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and  fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a leash, collar, and all medical records.   Our prices are higher than the shelters' because we nurse the dogs through their illnesses and get them needed surgeries and dentals. We also spend time socializing. Furthermore, unlike shelters, rescues do not get financial aid from the government and must rely on donations, grants, and adoption fees. Our fees for adults start at $150 and usually go up to $750. Young adults that are high in demand may be a little over $750.00. For puppies and purebreds, we charge up to $1000. The lower end is for dogs who have been here a while. The good news is that, because rescues fall under the "charity" category, the fees for our dogs are officially donations and are therefore tax deductible. You can think of it as donating to a worthy cause and getting a dog in return!  Sponsor Me Beagles & Buddies must find ways to raise money so we can continue saving dogs. Your tax-deductible donation keeps our rescue kennel operating!  Hours Friday:  10 am to 3 pm Saturday:  10 am to 3 pm Sunday: 10 am to 3 pm Monday: CLOSED Tuesday: CLOSED Wednesday: CLOSED Thursday: CLOSED &#226&#128&#139 Weekday appointments may be available.  We are a small staff and do our best to accommodate your needs. **Note that during COVID, we are not holding open houses on any day. Please email us for an appointment and include your application (found on our website, beaglesandbuddies.com, under "Forms"). Most appointments will be Friday through Sunday, though other days may also be available. We usually schedule one appointment per hour. Allow 1-2 hours for your appointment. Please look at our website and make a list of one or more dogs that you would like to see. Contacting Us If you have a question about adopting, giving up a dog, boarding, or volunteering, please visit the appropriate tabs on our  home page.
