He was born at the home of an 80-year-old woman who had 24 dogs — including two pregnant females that gave birth to 9 puppies each. Slowly but surely, we’ve helped reduce the number of dogs, but Tito’s adventurous spirit couldn’t be contained. Tito and his brother figured out how to jump their broken backyard fence and became local celebrities in the desert, often spotted hanging around the restaurants at the Four Corners — especially Starbucks, their favorite hangout. Despite the frequent “lost dog” posts on our community page, we’d have to explain: They’re not lost, just sneaking out again! One morning, Tito was even spotted standing on top of a police truck at the substation. Sugar is a 6 year old female husky who is indeed.... "a little husky" Sugar was "rescued" by an organization called Delaneys Dog in June 2022 aling with "Honey" the shepherd mix. They were from Animal Friends of the Valley Shelter. In October 2022, delaneys dog reacue re-dumped the 2 dogs at a boarding facility in the high desert area, they left them there and never came back or paid their bill. The owner of the boarding facility recently passed and these dogs were in danger of re-entering the shelter system, but we stepped up and brought them into our care. Sugar is just about the sweetest dog I've ever met. I can definitely see how she got her name, which was given to her by valley shelter staff back in 2022. She is spayed and gets along with every dog she's ever met. She chases chickens, and cats, but is obese and can't really go far or fast. She is now potty trained, she likes belly rubs and she knows how to sit, and shake. She's leash trained but still pulls with joy and excitement, so that needs a little work. She adores every person she meets. This dog will be such a blessing to a family, and they will bless her. Great house dog. Very quiet, only husky I've met that doesn't vocalize at all. Adoption fee is $250

This is a very hard decision and we want to make sure he goes to a family who can give him the time, attention and exercise he needs. He is playful, smart and full of personality. He is somewhat house trained and continues to improve with consistency and routine. He is a puppy and will benefit from continued training and socialization.
